I know when I divorced that I would never had been with someone who didn't love my CJ as much as I did. It took my hubby 3 visits when we first met before CJ said this one's okay with her. He loved dogs but she made it difficult but he continued to win her love which he did.

My dogs come first! If you don't like it, bugger off! As simple as that.

hey that's bad. i feel dogs are the best friends and pets a human can have... i do understand that some don't like pets at home... but after 14 years it feels horrible to give away. I strongly feel she should somehow make him understand the importance and as time passes he would get adjusted.

Okay, she got back to me (the lady with the dog). He needs to be gone really soon, because she is planning a vacation and is leaving in like a week. So she's in a rush, and he's got to go, ugh.

Called my friend at my vet, she knows of no one that can take him, and she said she really doesn't want to take him either.

I think I'm at a dead end for the poor little fella. I'm a sucker for seniors, but I have to put my foot down here. Me taking him is really out of the question.

Now I feel horrible.

I hate hearing stories like that. To me if you marry someone you are getting everything that comes with that person - pets same as children.

Uh, couldn't she board the dog while she's on vacation and then continue to find him a home when she gets back? Obviously her personal pleasure takes precidence over what happens to this poor animal. I just hope she doesn't dump him at the animal shelter. It would be kinder to euthanize the dog than to put him through that trauma.

Okay, just got off the phone with my friend, who does rescue work (a diff. friend, not the one that works at my vet). She said if push comes to shove, SHE will take him. YES!! She said she won't have him neutered or anything in his old age (the owner said he is unneutered, and has bad teeth), and will just do the monthly antibiotics on his teeth, unless they are so abcessed, then she will do the dental.

I'm excited now, this little pupper may have a chance at a good ending! We're (the owner and I) going to get back in touch on Sunday, because she is going out of town this weekend. And we'll meet in Baton Rouge sometime early next week, either Mon. or Tues. for her to hand him over to me. Then he'll go to my friend.

Fingers crossed that all this works out as planned!

i dont understand that...
how could you let yourself be bullied into getting rid of your most fathfull friend after all that time for some guy?

my bf isnt a "dog person" but he knows its me AND the dogs or nothing at all and he does on occasion even ENJOY the dogs company...
the condition of me moving in with him was ruby (and eventually a playmate for ruby) would eb comming with...
if hed have disagreed i wouldnt be living here.
he knows the conditions of us gettng a house together involve the dogs being there as a part of that life, living in the house ect...

if he turned around one day and said "the dogs have got to live outside or go...id personally be saying goodbye to him...i dont care how much you love a guy, if he loved YOU hes not going to ask your to choose between him and faithfull companion like a dog, whether he likes dogs or not...

fingers crossed it works out...

in truth it id wonder if mabe now shes married the dog has become an inconvenience to her? i men it seems fishy to post an add for a life long companion whome you love dearly, only to turn around and go "oh and weve gotta rush cause im going on vacation"

if i had to rehome my dogs for any reason (and im talking apocolyptical lol) then EVERYTHING else goes on hold untill they have not just a good home...but THE best home possible lined up.

Yes, hoping for a happy ending, for the dog at least...the woman's on her own.

Too bad so many dogs live the life of a surrogate spouse or child until the "real thing" comes along and they are considered disposable.

Sad...

Yoko, I found someone who plans on taking him. If that doesn't work out, I'll contact you. I'm in Louisiana.

I feel so sorry for that poor old dog. Losing his owner at such an old age will be so hard on him. If that BF couldn't see past his nose to keep an aged dog that his GF had all these yrs I feel sorry for her not seeing the light...control, control control.
And when things settle she will suddenly wake up to the horror of what she's done to that poor little dog....too late.

So sad. When will people realize that pets are the only thing in this world that has your back no matter what situation you are in. Your whole family can disinherit you and your husband can walk out on you, but your pet will always love you and be there. That is why I will always have a pet, specifically dogs. If you don't like it, you can kiss me and my dog's ass!

Show her this. It is in a different language, but it says at the end, '' He is never going to leave you. And you. Are you able to do the same thing?"

YouTube - Ele nunca vai te abandonar... E vc é capaz de fazer o mesmo?
