We have a 14 wk old Victorian Bulldog who has a phobia about pooping. He doesn't mess in the house, but he won't go outside either. He last went about 1:30pm and it is now 10:30 pm and he still hasn't gone. He ate his dinner at 5:00 pm and has been outside at least 20 times since then. We take him to the same spot everytime but we can't get him to go for the life of us. When he does finally go we praise the heck out of him. Our trainer told us to do 10 minute intervals and if he doesn't go put him in his crate for 5 minutes and try again. Repeat until he goes. The problem is, he WANTS to be in his crate and when he is outside he just wimpers to get in, so I don't think this method is going to work for us (so far it hasn't). I was just outside with him for 45 minutes and I am very frustrated (which I am sure he can sense). Please can anyone help me through this??
