Last night till now I have been feeling really bad. Last night my head started feeling like there was a lot of pressure pushing outwards again.

I couldn't sleep at all because it was so uncomfortable and it actually was hurting! It never hurt before, not really, it was just uncomfortable. This time it hurt!

But I couldn't sleep until 6:40 this morning, and I had to get up at 8 .... so not much sleep. And that made it worse! All day my head is just killing me! It started feeling very prickly, like a ton of needles being shoved into my head, and along with that was a strange feeling of ...i don't know how to explain it. It almost felt like numbness.....kinda.....like being lightheaded with numbness. It's hard to explain. But it also gave me a headache, go figure lol

But starting this morning I kept having times when I'd feel really dizzy. Like this morning I went to get out of bed and I fell out of bed instead cause I was really dizzy. At work the dizzy spells continued and I started feeling really sick, like I was going to vomit. I had to take my break early to go sit down and get some water cause I felt really sick.

The pressure feeling in my head comes and goes, but today it has pretty much stayed! It get's worse till it feels like my heads going to explode and then it goes back to normal and then does it again. It also makes the back of my neck, where it connects to my head, and the back of my head feel really stiff and if I turn it to the left I can't turn it as much or it will hurt.

And my ears where plugged all day!!! They didn't just pop and go away they stayed like that all day! It's still like that, and I hear ....kinda hear....a cracking noise if I turn my head sometimes....and ringing in the ears....man I should probably see a doctor lol

So this, excluding the new problems: the pain with the pressure, the needle sensation, has been going on for months, but it's getting worse. So even though I was freaked out before It never lasted long so I always just put off seeing a doctor, but now I think I'm going to make an appointment cause it's REALLY freaking me out now!

I was thinking possibly stress related or something, but it usually happens at night/early morning when I'm not doing anything stressful and right now I'm really not that stressed so I don't know why it would be so bad!

I'm also not sure if I should take an aspirin....I'm worried it might be something to do with bleeding or something (in the brain) and taking the aspirin would make it worse, but I'm paranoid and I don't really think it would be bleeding in the brain, but if it is I'm worried about taking one.....what do you guys think?

Ah, the wonders of not sleeping enough, if you dont sleep enough thats what happens, I can tell you right now it all was caused by sleep deprivation, I know exactly what u mean, I get it alot. Just try to re regulate your sleep, and because you didnt get alot of sleep last night you will prolly be overtired tonight and have a choppy sleep, but the next day you will feel alright. lacking your body sucks doesnt it?

I find that you can diagnose someone without being a doctor and over the internet with such confidence rather amazing.

The lack of sleep is due to the fact my head felt like this, not the other way around. I have no doubt the sleep deprivation made the problems worse, but it's not what caused it. This has been happening for months....I think I posted about this a long time ago. It may have even been a year now since it started, but it's gotten worse.

Oh im just saying thats exactly what I get like when I get sleep deprived, and that its prolly what it is. but if its been for a long time you should have it looked at immediately, its abnormal to have such a thing constantly.

It's not constant, today it was pretty much constant, but normally it happens at night every night, but comes and then goes after about 5 minutes. Then it may come back but sometimes it doesn't go away either.

I lost track about how long it's been, but I know for a fact it's been more then 3-5 months. I was told to go to the docs before, but I avoided doing that, I just kept putting it off for later *sigh*

I'm going to REALLy regret it if it's something serious that could've been easier to deal with earlier :( Hopefully it's not though lol

Well what you explained is a lot like the symptomns from lack of sleep from my experience also.

You said it yourself, this type of question needs to be answered by a doctor in person.

Can you get to a doctor? Is there any reason you are putting it off?

Saying it could be sleep related and saying:

I can tell you right now it all was caused by sleep deprivation
are two different things. Yes, I'm sure the symptoms where increased due to lack of sleep, but I didn't have the lack of sleep I have right now last night when it started, or most of the many nights before when it happened.

I'm going to make an appointment tomorrow to see my doctor sometimes soon. I just don't want to spend the money on somethings stupid and be told, after paying the money for everything, that it was nothing. I really don't have the money for that.

Oh and it just occured to me you may be thinking I'm looking for a diagnoses. I'm not. I just wanted to rant a little and see what people thought about taking an aspirin....if I should or not?

I see, but you knew either way that we were giving our opinions, that’s why it is best to leave serious medical issues to your local doctor. There is no problem coming on here and telling us how you are feeling and get it off your chest.

If it has been going on for as long as you say it has then I believe seeing a doctor is long-overdue. I am glad you have decided to see one; it’s really the best thing to do right now.

Your health is the most important thing and a doctor is certainly in the best position to help you. You don’t want to keep carrying on feeling like crap and learning to deal with it.

Opinions are different from stating a fact, Ck9 stated it as a fact, not an opinion. Your replies where all stated as opinions.

I do leave serious medical problems to a doctor. :) So no problem there. Seeing a doc is long overdue probably. I just wish I had more money to actually see one without worrying about paying them!

You're in college yah? Does your campus have a health center? Our does and we get 'free' health care there as students. It's 'free' because it's tacked on in our tuition but never the less, it's reduced cost at least.

I was actually just at ours today for this lingering cough I've had. Not near as bad as perpetual head aches but annoying none the less.

Hope you get better, and try that aspirin. It might help, might not. What's the worst that can happen? You waste a tablet.

If it's been around for 3-5 months, it's probably not 'something stupid'.

What kind of work do you do?are you sat at a computer alot?I find long spells of video gaming and internet creates a wierd stiffness in my neck and head and my ears crackle and a throb of preasure up the back of my head. It`s like a build up of acid or something that makes everything tighten and I get the creeking too. When the muscles in your neck tighten up they can also nip on nerves that can cause a bad head.If I were you I`d take ibuprophen, try not to worry and then go see the doc if you`re still not better.
