Has anyone heard of TEKS KENNELS in Cloverdale, IN?

I do not mean to be rude but we are all tired of hearing from lab breeder about not doing our research. I bet if lab breeder advertises on the internet, there's lots of people who have bought from him without doing research. When you are dealing on the internet, you never know who's behind that email address. I thought if there's this pet website with all these breeders selling pets, it looked safe to me. I had never purchased a puppy before & when I found NEXTDAYPETS, I was thrilled to see all the pets & breeders you could choose from. But what very bad luck I had by choosing KRITTER HEAVEN. The lows prices reeled me in. They were extremely nice on the phone & very helpful until I realized I was not going to get a puppy & I wanted my $$$ back. I was the person who bought a puppy that someone else already bought. The puppy I bought, KRITTER HEAVEN no longer had in their possession!!!!! I did my research on finding what kind of pet I wanted & was best suited for me but had no idea I needed to do the research on the person selling the pet. I figured if they had pictures of the pets on the website, I could buy whatever pet I wanted. I never experienced being ripped off before & have done hundreds & hundreds of interent transactions, buying & selling & have NEVER had a problem before. NEVER!!! I sold a $10,000 car, site unseen & all went well for both sides. That's cuz I AM HONEST & I AM NOT A CROOK. I am a trusting US citizen. All I wanted was a puppy to hold & snuggle after our last child left home & now I have KRITTER HEAVEN to deal with & I am out $800 because of kritter heaven. (which I prefer to call kritter hell) I do have a little fella now to hold & snuggle but it certainly didn't come from kritter heaven. I paid way too much for him from a pet store here in town but at least I have a receipt & I know where he came from. And we are both very happy & he's very healthy too!!! But knowing this was worth the price. This was a very expensive learning experience but the pet I ended up with is the one that belonged to me. I am gonna try to get my $$$ back & put an end to kritter heaven. Also to get those poor pets outta there, but if I do not succeed, at least I have my little guy & I tried everything I could to help.

First of all, I'm a SHE. Secondly, I do not "advertise" online but I do have a website and noone has bought a pup yet because I haven't done all the necessary checks yet and our male is still to young. If you bothered doing any research...or looking at my website :yikes: you'd see this. As far as your faux paux...maybe if you'd done more research, visited the kennel, looked at the dogs, seen pedigrees/parents, asked about health checks and guarantees and WHY the pups were so "cheap" you may not have been duped. If you don't want to hear from me, quit bringing up my name.

Annette, Sue, Anne, don't let Lab breeder bother you. The four of us are in this together now and we're gonna fight Tammy and Julie till they are put behind bars. And to you lab breeder, research smesearch! Must be nice to be so smart... I have a degree from Harvard and Cornell Medical College and my boyfriend and I still got taken by Tammy Gilchrist, its about trust not stupidity and i'd appreciate it if you layed off my friends here for a while, we have enough to go through right now.

Lab breeder, one more thing before I do not respond to your silly comments any more, talking the way you do to people on this site, not just me but everyone else who has been taken by Kritter Heaven, will not get you any business selling your labs. When people do "research" on you, they will find this & they will see how quick you are to lose your temper & judge people. If I remember correctly you came here arguing with me about lab gentetics/colors. You resisted my information at first. You stuck around even though there was alot of crap slinging. I think you have learned some about breeding on here. And you have stuck around. Everyone has there strong points and even though you were to hardheaded to see my views, I never called you names etc. This is crossing the line. I think I have tried to help you with other situations including your hookworm/diarreaha problems. I think you should try to give the others the respect I have tried to give you. And name calling and belittling another poster is pretty low. Sorry, but that is just the way I see it. I also see this thread as none of OUR interest because we have not been the victims of this "breeder". Let them sort it out on there own and don't add "insult to injury". Pick your battles.... and this should really not be one of them. With all due respect of course.

Wow LabBreeder, chill out, Going after Annette and calling names is way out of line. There are a few of us that have a goal in closing kritter hell down. You could use some of that anger and put it to good use and help us. I think everyone that reads this and loves animals and has a heart could be of great help . Once again this is not just about the fact that we were taken for our money and left with nothing or with sick puppies. Everyone could fill out complaint forms. There is always more hope in numbers, it will give us a better chance to save those animals. This place also has horses and I can only imagine what kind of shape they are in. We will take all the help we can get so everyone that reads this please think about those animals and take some time to help.

I can't believe anybody would go so low as to name call. If we're all adults, which I believe we are, then Lab Breeder let's respectively disagree, if that's the case. BUT, I really don't see where the disagreement is. You've already told us what we did wrong, NOW let's see if you can help us, because we need all the help we can get on closing these two nasty women down. Like we're all trying to say, lets HELP the poor unfortunate animals here! And yes, the people that got ripped off get their money back too!

One For The Good Guys

I just wanted to let you know that NextDay pets just contacted me and after doing their research they have kicked them off of their website !!!!!! The only bad thing is now I cant see pictures of my puppy.

How many doggone web sites do these people have to be kicked off of, before something gets done about them???!!!! They just keep finding all kinds of places to advertise. It is just unbelievable. I wonder how many thousands of $$$$$$$$$$ they have stolen from people & how many pets they did not deliver to people who have paid for them. I know just between us 4, well LuAnne got her puppy, but with Sue & Rebecca & myself it is close to $2,000 & that's just 3 of us. I'm sure there's tons of people who have not followed through with police reports, etc. It is a lot harder when you are not in the same state. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I think it's great that she's been kicked off a few websites for advertiseing. But, she can just as easily re-register under and different name or kennel name. When you're dealing with the internet people can be anyone they want. They only way to stop that is to ban her IP address, but even then if she gets a new provider she gets a new IP and then it's back online for her.

Heck, she's probably back on already under a new identity. I wouldn't be suprised.

Has anyone contacted the AC in her area and asked them to look at the property? (sorry if this was already mentioned. i didn't read all the posts)
I know AC here is useless, but in some places they actually care will follow up on complaints that animals are being neglected. Getting to the source of the problem(her 'kennel' and her dogs) is the only way to close her down. And I hate to say this, but even then...all she would have to do is move and set up shop somewhere else.

Public education on how to research a breeder is the gonna be the best way to keep this from happening to other unsuspecting people.

That's great news! Good job! I sent an email to them last week, but never heard back from them. I've been in contact with puppyfind (like at least 3 times), where I purchased my puppy, but so far they're only keeping an eye on them, that's all!

I'm going to call the sheriffs department and tell him to go to her house again, I think I've done it twice already but maybe if they get sick of me calling, they'll get more annoyed with Tammy!

I was just wondering what kind of puppy you got from Kritter Heaven? And when did you get it? Did it look healthy when you picked it up, no problems at all?? It is good to know not everyone gets ripped off by them, surely they have to have some healthy pets come out of there. You are very LUCKY & I am happy that things went welll for you.

I just got a message yesterday from my lawyer, he recieved a letter from Kritter Heaven's lawyer, they want to send me a puppy. I would much rather have my money back since I have already purchased my puppy elsewhere almost 2 months ago. I am not sure what to do. If I refuse it, I will probably never get any money back unless I FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT & there's still a chance I would not get my money anyway, or do I risk taking this puppy that possibly could have health problems. I am so unsure of what to do. I certainly do not need 2 puppies. I am sure I could find it a good loving home but I would want it to be 100% healthy if I was going to find it a different home. I don't want any problems by selling someone a sick puppy, cuz I wouldn't do that.

ANY SUGGESTIONS?????
