what was the outcome of the two goldens?
Well, I dont think it's over yet. But I do have to say, the wife is very much in love with these dogs. She's home all day with their 2 month old newborn, but the dogs are not allowed in because if the newborn gets scratched in any way he brakes out in blisters :( Even though I think they should let the dogs in even if it means putting gates and such up.

But she was horrified when my dad said that Duke(the male) was chansing a car one time.

Some how they are getting under the fence they have up. Then today she put them in the deck and it's screened in(because she knew they were getting out of the fence), but they broke out. I mean these dogs obviously HATE being alone. They want to put up a wooden privacey fence but are not able to right now because of money.

So all in all they do care. She came over this eveving and got them(she can't leave the house till her husband gets home and he was late today so she couldn't come till later) and explained everything to my dad. And he said if they need any help fixing the fence he will be glad to help.

I really hope everything turns out okay. Because obviously they have put a lot into these dogs.

But, Duke(male) and Lizzie met tonight and did fantastic! So if it comes to where we have to take them and find a home for them, I at least know Duke and Lizzie get along. If they show up tomorrow, I'll get some pics of them together.

wow--what a situation. Thanks for the update--I always wonder what happens to these dogs that people post about! It's a sickness of mine, I suppose! LOL!

I feel bad for the family because of the son. I do understand protecting your child. Goldens HATE to be alone (at least from my experience). Mine is actually driving me nuts tonight because he knows I'm upset and he won't leave me alone.

I agree that even if they gated them off inside that would be better. Goldens can also jump pretty high so they could also be jumping depending on how low it is.

It was so very nice of your dad to offer to help them with the fence.
