Grammy's New Baby

Hi, everyone! He's definitely all retriever... no poodle there. The curliness has GOT to come from Chessy... and the other 1/2 is most likely golden with his mannerisms, but I'm not familiar with Chessies, so he could be 1/2 lab!! He has SUCH a great personality! A bit of a jokester, so ME'S WONDERIN' if he IS 1/2 lab! Grammy's coming to spend the night at our house in the country tomorrow night and bringing him! But, John and I have a big party we're throwing at a bar to celebrate our recent marriage that Grammy's going to, so we're going to try the crate out on him while we're absent. He's used to a crate and it will only be for a few hours... so he should be fine! Hunter gets to meet his new BRO and I'll be sure to take LOTS of PICS!!!!

I can't wait to hear how he's getting along with Hunter and the rest of the gang! Grammy, I am so happy that you got Ollie and that he's going to be around to help you wiggle your way through your tears.

I second (or is it 8th by now) the notion that Ollie has Chessy in him.

I set up the crate today , put a blanket in and a toy.... left the door open and we went in on his own and took a nap ! Later he asleep in the kitchen ... he was in frog position and he had his head on one stuffed toy and 2 on each side of his head.. hugging them with his front paws....wish I had had my camera !! I'm anxious to see how he gets along with Hunter !

I am in such awe over you.. how quickly you opened your heart to another dog in need! I'm so glad Ollie found you and you him! Best wishes with a full life of happiness with the boy!!

I don't know if I should say congrats to you or say congrats to Ollie! You both have found the perfect companion so I guess it to both of you!

I also think he golden & chessie. A very dear friend of mine and her mother had 4 chessies and there were quite a few others at the obed. school. They can be clowns too and are very attached to their humans.

I am sure Chip thoroughly approves and is happy that you have kept your heart open to another furpal in need.

Grammy Ollie is beautiful!! He is a gorgeous boy!! I'm so glad you decided to open up your heart and home to this new boy, I'm sure this is what Chip would want. I bet he's watching over you and smiling to see you happy and saving another dog

I just noticed he doesn't have dew claws !! Have combed out TONS of hair....doesn't like his tail done though ! Definately Chessie in coat, but has Golden or Lab pigment.

The boys loved each other.!!!! Both very possessive about their toys, so there were a couple of near brew-ha-has, but they worked thing out. We stayed the night and Ollie was able to run free and loved it ! I sure did get a winner! ( Of course he slept in bed with me ! ) Again, thanks you my Golden angels.............
