I think the holiday is making me more antsy than I would normally be, since my hands are tied until the holiday is over...
Juno is just... not right. I had posted in the venting thread a couple weeks ago that she was a vomiting machine and losing weight. The vomiting had went on for about a week? Give or take a day or two. She had lost 6 pounds in about 3 days.
I ended up putting her on a raw diet and giving her Pepcid in the mornings, and we went a few days without vomiting although she still wasn't really herself. And no sign of weight gain. Unfortunately the bag of raw I got her only lasted 5 days, and then I put her back on her kibble.... and this morning I woke up to the sound of her retching, although it doesn't appear that she actually vomited unless another dog ate it.
So I went out this morning to get more raw food, but I can tell she just isn't feeling good. She's so unusually clingy. Slow to greet me in the mornings, or when I come home. Her appetite is fine and she still plays sometimes, but it's more in spurts and she prefers to be lying down these days. She likes to attack the shovel when you trying shoveling snow, and is very demanding about getting outside so she can do that.... tonight when I shoveled she didn't even care.
I think our next step is an ultrasound, but the guy we use at work seems like he's always on vacation at the most random times... I'm sure this time of year, he's really not available. I just want to know that she's fine because I keep jumping to worst case scenario, and that's not allowed to happen to my dog.
