tomorrow in the 100 catagory,,heat index 105 to 110.. here we go..and they said it will be about that way for the rest of the summer..
add the awful humidity to that and i am going to become a recluse/hermit and hide in my hobbit hole of a house. THink i will bring Mr Shaffer over right along with Hyia in the morning! I was hoping for a cooler summer like last year..

i felt like an ant under a magnifying glass today..Hyia was like " i want to play outside"
and i am no you don't trust me..really you dont..she got here and walked into the ac saying your right..i don't..and she is only 5...i will be watering all night..i have a mister attachment made out of brass..( i am very careful with this because it is one of my gardening secrets..the mist is so soft and fine you can almost not feel it, but it drenches everything it touches and the water drops right down where it should without run off..i used it to take a pic i gotta dig out for you sometime..i got published with it in the best of College Photography 1987..I use to set it out when the mail man came, he always thanked me..set his bag down, went and stood in it for just a second then went on his way..i feel the most sorry for them when we hit this. I can't imagine even if i did use to do the kennel work thru it..but i didn't have to do it 8 straight hours everybody else hides..the birds don't sing..the leaves droop and the ground cracks. 4 weeks of this..almost every year. Just about the time that the trees are beginning to seriously drop their leaves...then it will cool of. September and October are beautiful in Missouri, but august so seriously sucks...

it can wait bubbat..you stay out of that sun! ..everybody needs to.. i got bushes that need triming and weed eating that needs done too as well as a flower bed that needs racoon repair, but it can all wait for a cooler break...or done an hour before dusk while the mosquitos try to bled you dry....i am watering at night, and soaking the potted plants that will fit in the water tank..its gonna be the only way..if you water during the day it is all evaporated by mid afternoon..before the plants can really soak it up. THat kinda heat just isn't good for anybody..keepin my mom indoors is a challange..she hates being cooped up but it is scary. One heat stroke just about parted me from the planet. Only a jack a$$ steps in the same hole twice...and i am not a donkey!

This must have been Grammy's last post before her electricity went out! We had HUGE storms and tornadoes last night and a tree came down and took out her power lines. She's STILL out of power!!
