Well, recently I tried adopting a Papillon. I know they are a very people-oriented breed so the shelter said we can't adopt because we can't leave them alone for 10 hours unless they've been used to that since they were puppies. I usually come home finished with all my homework so that I have free time from the time I come home to the time I sleep, which is about 5-6 hours. I was thinking of devoting all that time to playing/spending time with my Papillon if I had one. Do you guys think that's enough time? Also, if I were to buy from a breeder, how much is a reasonable price for a Papillon?
I really want a Papillon because they seem like such nice dogs, and I am thinking of adopting one somewhere else but if it's really not going to be good for them then I'll just adopt another breed. I was thinking of a Pomeranian, or something similar in size. I'm not too fond of the dogs with short hair but if I have no other choice then I guess those dogs are also okay.
