I do currently have a job where I make an hourly wage with no benefits. I've been trying to find a salary job, almost any salary job where I can get benefits. I've been applying to places, sending people my resume and checking out websites of major businesses. Most places have listings of available positions on their websites, and I've been looking at those. Most of the positions are for senior personnel, there are hardly any entry level positions available.
I'm supposed to be leaving this job at the end of August. The boss has people lined up to work for the fall semester, so I guess if I can't find anything by the end of August I'll be jobless, which would be bad because I have health insurance/credit card/student loans/pet stuff/gas/other to pay for. I guess I'm lucky that I don't have to worry about paying a mortgage, or for utilities or food right now.
I've been looking at IT related jobs and administrative assistant jobs and stuff mainly, I'm not sure what else to look at. I have just graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in IT. I can design websites and do HTML and CSS and use some Macromedia programs, such as Dreamweaver and Fireworks, but I can't build applications (programming) which is what a LOT of places are looking for. I hate programming, programming sucks. I couldn't even pass IT 108 which is very basic Java programming, and I took it three times!
I just need a full time job with benefits (healthcare). Where else do I look besides company websites, Washingtonpost.com, Monster, USAJobs, the FBI database, Yahoo Hotjobs, and county websites?
