Fritz And Taffy on Christmas Day
These are a series of twelve pictures of Fritz and Taffy at my sister's on Christmas Day.Fritz next to the tree and in front of the fireplace with his talking monkey toy.We had a good Christmas and New Year's.It started on Christmas Eve when we went with my Aunt to a Christmas Pageant at church.the reverend's son played Joseph,his wife played the Virgin Mary and their little daughter Cailyn Brooke played the Baby Jesus,She did a good job,no noise from her but the night before she wouldn't stop crying during a performance for Senior Citizens.We also sang some carols.After this we took my Aunt home and then went up to my sisters for snacks,Larry's dad and friend were there and Larry's brother Frank.We stayed an hour or so then went back home for a bit and then back to pick my sister up to go to candlelight service at church at 11:00 p.m.Christmas came,Fritz got some treats from Mom,I got a pair of Blue jeans,new winter gloves,thermal socks and a Red pullover shirt.Later in the morning we went up to my sisters to open gifts.Mom got a new necklace,a jacket and a wristwatch.Fritz got treats and a talking Monkey he plays with all the time.i got a Digital Photo Frame,a Safecut knife from Home Hardware that open Hard to open Packages with plastic coverings.Also got a new wallet with the Maple Leafs logo on it and a Hockey dictionary.We had Quiche Lorraine for lunch,Fritz had a little.Around 1 went home and then came back for supper at 5:00,Larry's brother Frank was there for this.We had Turkey and all the trimmings,had Cherry Cheesecake for dessert that Mom made.Fritz had a little of both,Taffy had a bit of the first.After supper,friends of Larry's and Marlene's came with their Golden retriever Murphy who stated looking for treats as soon as they got there.Marlene had bought him a stuffy ,was proud of it walking around and wagging his tail.Fritz spent some time on L's lap and Cheryl's ,one of their friends.On New Year's Eve we went to Boston Pizza,had Pizza,brought some of the ham from the topping home for Fritz.After this ,went to the Movies to see Marley and me,we will do this every year now,something Mom decided on,always a movie on we both like.I twas funny the mischief Marley got into and in the end it was sad when he was put down reminded me of what Dad went through when he had our Poodle Ruffles put down in April of 2002.it brought a few tears from me.It would for any dog owner whether they have lost a dog or not.

Fritz playing with his talking Monkey January 2 having his first nap of the year with me in the chair,under the covers of Mom's bed January 3rd,likes to bury his head under the pillows also and December 30th snoozing on top of the covers of Mom's bed.Fritz grabs clothes and uses the as pillows,plays with toys while flipped over on his back,will bark to go out or have a water dish filled.Mom keeps busy with Meals on Wheels,,Hospital gift shop, meetings with the church group she is in,playing cards and going to Movie sand shows.I help my Uncle do our snow,do some at my sisters,go to church and go to Junior hockey games.
Fritz Napping and Sitting,Taffy Napping
Fritz on the small couch begging Mom for something January 5th,Taffy snoozing on the couch the same day,she was here as Larry and Marlene had gone to a visitation of his Aunt Marg who had passed away January 3rd at age 80,had several bouts of cancer,today Taffy is here again as they have gone to a birthday party for Larry's Uncle Bob,husband of Aunt Marg.Taffy was here again on January 6th when they went to the funeral.Fritz snoozing on my knee January 7th and on Mom's bed before getting up January 8th
Aunties Visit
First four of ten pictures of the Aunties visit January 16th.Fritz that morning still in bed head tucked under the comforter.Mom was wanted to make the bed,so I tried to rouse him out of there,he growled so left him there,got down on his own.Fritz out on one of his walks with Bev,cold doesn't bother him,Fritz watching his Aunties coming to the door and giving Bev and Irene kisses.They brought some Tim Hortons doughnuts,not sure if he had any,I imagine he did.Before this,he had a walk with Bev,lunch was Salmon and Tuna Sandwiches and Pickles,Fritz had some of each,We went out to supper,he watched us leave from the front window.Bev,Irene and Mom had Liver and Onions,I had Chicken Fingers,Fries and a Caesar Salad,took some liver home for Fritz who was waiting at the back door door us,had some that night and a few days after.I had Coconut Cream Pie for dessert,Bev had a dish of Vanilla Ice Cream,nothing for Mom and and Irene.After we got home,they left were afraid of it snowing ,so will stay overnight another time.Bev had been feeling tired and cold lately,couldn't keep warm,blood pressure not right.She had been worrying about Irene and had been driving another friend around on errands, so it tired her out.May have to get her thyroid checked out.Fritz had some doughnuts later that night,then some Iams bones and a drink of water,then was on Mom's lap ,then under the little couch,had a busy day and was tired out.
Fritz At The Cottage
First four of ten pictures of Fritz and our visit to Marlene and Larry's cottage during the Canadian Thanksgiving October 10-12,2008.Fritz laying on the floor soon after we arrived,Fritz snoozing in a chair later the same day,Fritz with Larry on the couch Friday ,Fritz still snoozing on the couch,snoozing under the kitcehn table at my feet while I was reading a book,Fritz on Mom's lap,Fritz at teh top of the stairs when Larry and i were putting things away for the fall,Fritz having a rest in a deck chair 45 minutes after the previous picture,Fritz on a kitchen chair Saturay between 1st and second course of dinner..We left a little after 10 on Friday,stopped to pick up Marlene and Taffy,Larry came later from work,Marlene drove the rest of the way.After about an hour we stopped at a Tim Hortons for Chili and Garlic Toast.Fritz slept on the floor in front of the passenger seat and Taffy stood and watched us eat.We got there between 12:30 and 1 ,shortly after I cleaned up leaves from around the cottage.We had Lasagna for supper,Fritz made himself at home sleeping everywhere like you will see in the pictures.Fritz liked Larry a lot,cuddled with him a few times and Mom also.Fritz slept with Mom every night and was quiet.When Fritz had to go out,either Larry or Marlene went out with him.Next morning for breakfast we had Bacon,Toast and something that had Egg,Pumpernickel bread and Bacon pieces.Dinner was at 5:30,friends of Larry and Marlene's who have a cottge on the other side of the lake came with their dog Murphy ,more on him laterFritz got a little excited and peed on the floor,after supper he stayed with Mom on the couch.We had Turkey,Carrots,Brussel Sprouts,Dressing and Potatoes.Dessert was a Pumpkin Loaf that Mom made and also a Chocolate dessert.After supper,Fritz got off the couch,I was trying to get him back and he tried to bite were not happy with that.Sunday before we left we went on a tour to see the fall colors,got pictures of that.We came back and had lunch,we left at 2:35 and got home around 4:30.Fritz slept on the back seat the whole way home.At one point,a truck turned off the rod and sprayed gravel that hit the side of the van so Mom stopped to have me check,it was okay so we were on our way again.We were almost home and Mom had to swerve to avoid hitting a cat.One home found a dead bird in front of the garage and a dead Squirrel between our house and the neighbors,not a good thing to see after being away for 2 days.one morning,we both made our beds,then the next I made all three beds and did a little vacuuming one day.
