She's such a wonderful little dog!! I was out there playing fetch with her, and though she doesn't know drop or come, she's definitely willing to learn!! She's smart too!

I started trading a treat for the ball and by a few times she dropped the ball the second I put my hand out to her like I had a treat.

Wow! That would make 4 dogs in the house! At least it's a female this time! ROFL :D

*goes off to room without supper*

Yeah, I know what you mean. Stupid animal control. FIVE DAYS and NO ONE has been in the office when I've called, NO calls back, NO checking up on Midnight.

Yeah, I know how you feel. How about you take one nice, blurry picture and PM it to me?

Well I'm not calling animal control. If I do they won't come anyways

I'm just gonna go there myself to drop her off Monday before Lucas' appt. or maybe after. Then make sure to go check up on her, excercise and all that while she's there, then make the deposit as soon as her stray hold is up!

At least one of us is succeeding at this....

Now, to cheer me up you need to at least give me a detailed description.

Okay, she's small.....maybe 60 lbs? Definietly much smaller than Lucas is!

Very well trimmed! She's got an athletic body and is pretty darn hyper! lol

She's a chocolate brown with golden eyes that are gorgeous! Very nice white teeth, seems around a year or so to me.

Not real long muzzle, maybe a bit shorter than most labs have.

She's really sweet, loves to be pet! She will roll over for me if I sit and pet her long enough :D

LOl you got an Onyx. Hopefully she doesn't want to tear Lucas up so she can have his place.

I'm still lost and I read the thread  :D Where is the dog now and do the owners not want her back :(
She's here at the moment in my backyard. Her owners leave her tied out in their yard all the time. She's not allowed inside.

She's escaped 6 times that I've seen in only a few months. Three of those times I found her. The owners would come over with the prong collar and litterally drag the dog back down the street to their house to chain her back up after telling the dog to be "happy now" cause once they get home she's "really going to get it". It's been really hot lately (upper/mid 90's F) and she seemed dehydrated.

They know where I live and that she tends to go to my house, but they have not come over to check, put up signs or anything. All I'm gonna do is turn her into the HS. If they really want her back they will go there, and pay the fine to get her back. If they don't (which I suspect they won't bother) then I'll adopt her and possibly keep her or find her a better home.

Make sense now?

Honestly, if I got the impression that the owner cared about this dog at all, and just had trouble keeping her in their yard I'd return her again and try to see if I could give them some more advice on how to fix it. But I don't get that from them at all. They seem to not care, seems like the dog is just a lawn ordament to them.

Especially since I mentioned the VERY VERY busy 40 mph road down the street that she was heading towards to get to my house. They didn't seem to mind if she got hit at all. Either that or they are in denial that it's possible for her to get hti by a car?

Who knows, but either way. If they want her back and care for her, they can find her at the shelter.
