Brock, a friend of mine has a GSP that is black and white instead of liver and white. He's so pretty! His owner said that the black coloring is discouraged/not allowed and that makes me sad.

Your friend is correct. It would take too long to explain the reasoning behind keeping the breed standard liver and white, but I do like the looks of them. Easily the biggest debate maybe in the history of the breed.
LOL oc_spirit, Sarplaninec and Kraski Ovcar are extremely popular breeds in my country. They look very much alike and most people can't tell the difference. Kraski Ovcar is actually our only national breed..... so proud of them!
The Kraskis appear a little smaller but still just as cute!!! Does your country have any Sylvans? That''s another breed I''ve really taken to. I''m assuming you live somewhere around Serbia? I know the dogs are very popular to that area especially the mountainous regions where they are still worked as LGDs.
