Aww Julie! When it rains it pours ... Maverick is such a fiesty little boy, isn't he. When he comes back, which I'm sure he will, I hope he'll learn a lesson. When Spencer (my lhasa) was alive, Tony and I and the kids went on a four day vacation to Lake George and left him with Tony's parents. Well, we cam home and I had like ten messages on the answering machine regarding Spencer. He got loose and wandered off. A nice couple found him about 3 miles from my inlaws house, read his tag, called city hall, got my phone number and left a messages for us. After a day or two they had no choice but to leave him with my vet (they got that info from city hall). I immediately called my vet and they said that animal control was on their way over to get him because it was over a day with no contact. I told them I was on my way and NOT to let him go! Thank god I live 1/2 mile from the vet. I pulled up my car and the animal control was JUST going into the door. I got there in the nick of time. I also had to pay the vet close to 100.00 for the boarding cost I've never forgiven my inlaws for it. They didn't even bother to go look for him! If it was my mother, she'd be a wreck driving everywhere to look for him.
Calling your vet is a very good idea! I'm crossing my fingers for you! He'll come back!
