From Animal Planet: I always get all sporting dogs on this one, in various orders, but never Welshies for whatever reason. All are breeds I at least wouldn't mind owning, and they got pretty darn close with the two spaniels and the Brittany on top. I have strongly considered owning English cockers, Brittanies, and Goldens. No thanks on the American cocker though.
98% American Cocker Spaniel
98% English Cocker Spaniel
97% Brittany
97% Golden Retriever
97% Irish Setter

Dogtime. Apparently I am predictable. I've strongly considered the top three breeds, and I could live with a GSP or GWP.
English Cocker Spaniel
Field Spaniel
Flat-coated Retriever
GSP
GWP

For the final quiz:
100% Toller: I could see owning one
93% Pointer: Not something I would pick, but I could probably live with one
91% English Setter: Could live with one
90% German Pincers: Not my type of dog at all
I accidentally closed the tab but I think the last one was GSP

Somehow I rarely get herding breeds at the top of the list on these quizzes and I'm not sure why since I usually select for high energy and trainable.

ETA: Apparently I am not at all special for getting lots of spaniels; these tests just like to push spaniels on everyone. Works for me!

Ha!!!

I got:
Number 1 Match: Border Collie
Number 2 Match: Cattle Dog
Number 3 Match: Brittany

Which incidentally are exactly the three breeds I am already considering for my next dog, and Leo is a bc/ac mix!

I've never had that accurate of a test before.

All of you guys and your blunt "NO"s are killing me. LOL.

You know, Animal Planet's breed quiz used to be a lot more accurate... about six years ago? It's weird, they did some giant revamp, and all the breed statistics changed for the worse (as in, can get quite inaccurate), IMO. o_o

On a few different quizzes, I ALWAYS got Doberman Pinscher as my top breed. It's crazy, because it has been the breed I've drooled over for years when I was in high school alongside GSDs. (But GSDs were never chosen in the top few...)

DOGTIME ... not going to post the results, but this was when I realized that all quizzes like to match me with retrievers and pointers. I got quite a few of the same breeds again.

SELECTSMART
Top choice: POODLE.
... and the next 15 has a few of the same pointers and retrievers again. What's up with that? I should change my life focus to pointers and retrievers now.

Animal Planet:
Mini-Poodle: Definitely no.
American Cocker: maybe
English Cocker: maybe (I'd choose English over American).

(Cockers were a consideration; I have had one, and his family has always had one)

Dog time:
American Water Spaniel: meh
Brittany: maybe
English Cocker: see above
English Springer: this was a consideration
Field Spaniel: probably not

Select Smart:
Lowchen: no
Shih Tzu: ummmm no
Shetland Sheepdog: (FINALLY). yes <3
American Cocker: see above

I find it funny that only Select Smart gave me other breeds outside of the Sporting Group while the others mostly had the Sporting Group.

Sporting dogs are probably a good fit, I could see myself with a brittany. But at the same time sporting dogs can be a little...I don't know...too frantic/not big thinkers. I'm sure that's an individual thing though. But yes, I'd say most sporting dogs would fit me well enough. I like scent hounds as far as being super sweet and loving but don't think I could deal with the noise. Also not sure what they're like to train. I know nothing about PBGVs and Spinones but I say no based on looks.

Dog Time
Bullmastiff
Sussex Spaniel
Vizsla
Borzoi
Greyhound
The rest were more sight hounds and a lot of companion breeds.

This one was inaccurate IMO. Definitely not mastiffs. I don't like Sussex spaniels because of their physique. Not big into sight hounds in general though I could see myself with a greyhound when I'm old. Also not really interested in a companion breed, though a few might fit what I'm looking for. Overall not great (and I said I didn't want drooling...don't bullmastiffs and sussex spaniels both drool?)

Select Smart
There were 179 matches, here are some of the top picks.
1. Labrador
2. Pointer
3. German Pinscher
4. Vizsla
5. Ibizan Hound
6. Whippet
7. Norwegian Elkhound
8. GSP
9. Standard Poodle
10. Cardigan Welsh Corgi

Again sporting dogs are probably a good fit. Seems a I should get a vizsla. I know nothing about german pinschers. I don't think I'd like Norwegian elkhounds, don't think they're affectionate enough but maybe I'm wrong. Not a sight hound person, not a corgi person (too reactive...though I've never really met any Cardigans). Don't know much about std. poodles but haven't like those I've met on the whole.

These tests pretty much always give me foxhounds, pointers, and retrievers. But there's never an answer to how trainable you prefer that goes like "I want the dog to be biddable, but not TOO biddable, and a little bit of an a-hole, but not TOO much of an a-hole."
