Auggie yes. Pepper yes.
Payton sometimes. We are still working on it with him.
Georgie throws the biggest fit in the world... she is HORRIBLE for nail trims.

Frodo struggles a lot, but we jut do it anyway cause desensitizing was taking way way too long. We clip twice a week, once the backs and another session the fronts. Ryan holds him and I clip. He forgives us as soon as we put him down :p

I use the dremel on both Sheena and Luna and never have an issue. They lay down, I get it done and then everyone has a big tussle as a reward.

Classic falls asleep while I do his nails. Because he's giant, I clip first and then dremel.

Zuma struggles a bit, but we are working on it. I can now dremel or clip her nails without a lot of fuss.

I selected "other". Morgan will let me trim his nails. He's very reluctant and can be pretty squirmy, but not so badly that I need someone else's help to get it done. He's also a crybaby. LOL! So I couldn't say "no problem". :p

I've never really pushed it. I picked "she squirms too much" but really, I've never tried. She just squirms for everything so I assume she'd squirm for that.

She gets groomed 3-4 times a year, and they trim her nails then. She's never needed more than that. We go for enough walks and trips to the dog park that they stay a nice level.

Yes, I plunk myself into lotus position and drop a dog in my lap. I clip a few nails and treat. Watson occasionally grumps a bit but he has gotten steadily better as we work on it. Menchi sometimes wrestles a bit...if I do need and extra pair of hands the SO gets to step in.

Nope. He was terrible about it when he was young and then I wasn't able to do it. Then I buckled down and worked with him to the point I could do it with little to no issue. Then he jerked his paw and I quicked him. Bad. Really bad.

Started over, worked with him until I could do it again and he jerked and got quicked. Started over AGAIN and quicked him one last time and it was over. Can't get his nails trimmed.

I can file them, I can play with them and I can even take each one and grind it on concrete but I can not clip them. That's why I'm so tickled with this emery board I built so that he can file them down himself now.

Cara is no problem. I give her an empty peanut butter jar to clean out while I clip and she doesn't even take notice that I'm doing her nails.

Mina is fine as long as someone holds her collar.

Upendi gets hers done at the groomers.

Elsie's quicks are longer than any dog I've ever met. I hit it with the dremel a couple days ago.

She lets me do her nails, but she mopes for hours after. I'm going to try the giant board thing, because I hate hurting her and I hate hurting her feelings.

I can clip them by myself but there is a struggle. String cheese is used for nail clipping, it's one of his favorites. As a puppy he was great, would go on his back in my lap and get some treats for staying there, then he'd get a treat for each nail, done.

Then his clipper got dull and I was stupid and thought he was just being a butt head when in fact it was hurting. So I finally bought new clippers but he's nervous and the hardest part is clipping the first nail. I have to start with just taking his paw, then taking one toe, then bringing the clipper near his nail, then working up to touching the nail with it quickly, then going like I'm JUST about to clip them, and then finally clipping one. Lots of treats at each step. It looks like I'm definitely going to run out of cheese but once the first one is done and he realizes there is no pain he calms down a lot and I can clip the rest with almost no issues, I usually do one fake clip between each real clip with treats for every one and he is fine. He is way better for his back feet than for his front ones for some reason. I'm so upset at myself for not stopping to buy new clippers the second he showed discomfort, he used to be AWESOME about it, it was one of the things I worked hard on because I've never met a dog whose owners can clip their nails.

Yep...no problem. Of course, it took some negotiating in the beginning. 'You hold still and let's do this and you get lots of incredible treats.' When I get the Dremel out, they both start prancing around, wagging, spinning a couple of circles, and excitement whining. Oh woopie! It's party time! Now Jose` resource guards the Dremel from other dogs, not me. He really loves it. (not the trimming itself so much, but the Dremel since it represents high value food.):rofl1:

(I know...I've told that story before, but I just think it's so funny....either funny or really, kind of pathetic that he's so brainwashed):(

Somewhere between #1 and #2. I don't need help, but one of my dogs is a PITA to do. She pulls her feet like a big baby and she screams if she's ever quicked. That's why I started clipping just a little bit and then dremeling down the rest. My other dog is excellent for nails.

Bailey used to be petrified of the clippers and the noise of the dremel. She still doesn't like having her nails done but she tolerates it quite well. I just dremeled her nails today in fact.

Buzz has been awesome of years and years. Before that, he tried to bite me a lot. I probably hit the quick or got too close and didn't realize it, though.

Both dogs lay on their back while I do it by myself.
