They opened recently a huge superstore here in Ontario, Canada where I live and they sell food now. Some items are cheaper like meat for example. The problem is, there are stories that they import their meat from China and that some of it did not pass the Canadian food standards in the past. Now, they claim everything is alright and they even put stickers on items saying that it passed Canadian food standards, but I, as well as, many people I know are afraid to buy their food because of the quality of food that they sell.

Never bought meat there, but have bought fruit several times. Never had a problem with it.

I'd imagine if the Canadian government is going to put a stamp on it certifying that it's safe, then it's safe. But then again ya'll do buy milk in bags so who knows?

Yah, here the WalMart probably has the freshest produce of any of the stores, except Ingles, and the prices there are astronomical  I check the labels on where things originated since that's a requirement here for most things.

Boxer, Ontario isn't a city. Don't talk like it is please. There are SEVERAL Wal*Mart Superstores in Ontario now, my sister works at the one in Aurora/Stouffville.

And no. I don't buy my groceries there. I just went to the new Loblaws Superstore here in Peterborough last night, and HATED it.

We buy lots of stuff there but not fresh things - there are no fresh things in our Wal Mart superstore here - just eggs, milk, cheese, frozen and boxed and canned. No produce, no fruit, no meat.

We have a super walmart

And no, I don't like to buy my meat or much of any food item from them. I purchased some ground chuck from them ONCE because they had it on sale............ya, never again. Their supposed "ground chuck" was swimming in grease (supposed to have been 85% lean) and had more bone chips than you can imagine. Saving a dime isn't worth a chipped tooth.

I prefer to get my meats from Kroger...........I love Kroger meats :) Decent prices and fresh meat.

I have bought groceries at our super Walmart, and have been VERY pleased with what I have bought. They have YUMMY steaks. YUM!

I've never had a problem with their ground beef.
I don't shop there often because it's kind of out of my way, but when I have, I have been happy with my purchases.

And I HATE WALMART.

Haha, I know it is not, but I'm not willing to give the city where I live online. You have all kinds of people online, you're never safe. Ontario is a province, that's enough for you to know. ;)

We've never had an issue, and when we first got married the only place we shopped was Wal-mart (and obviously I'm still alive).

Now we get most of our food at Kroger, but go to Wal-mart because they carry this Tyson chicken that is individually vacuum packed--it works out better since we are only cooking for two people.

i buy nearly all my groceries at walmart. i don't buy very much meat but i've never had a problem with what i have bought. their fruits can be a little hit or miss. sometimes it's really really good and sometimes it tastes like blah.

i started shopping there because i could stop at 6:30 am on my way home from my night shift job and then continued because they have what i want to buy. i try to go at off times to minimize crowds.

There are no super wal-marts around here, so no.

Most of our food comes from Trader Joe's because we're the weird people into organic stuff and foreign food and whatnot.

Why not? Its not hard to track down people if you want too on the internet. I have nothing to hide and I know at least 20 chazers in RL so people know where I live.

I have a business that is advertised online...

I can understand it if you are in hiding for some reason....

That's your choice. You should invite us all to your house for a party then if you have no problem with it. Just send an invite with your address. ;) Also, your location says Ontario, why didn't you put your city as public? lol Please don't be a hypocrite.
