Do you believe in a higher power?

I chose 'I don't know' because I don't. I've always felt more pulled towards pagan beliefs or Buddhism. I used to believe in God but when I was 8 I couldn't believe in him anymore. Sure, I 'could' however, I have this image in front of me and I can't shake it off.
I believe in the evolution theory - however, I believe that some greater power could have made that happen.

I really haven't defined what I believe in or if I believe or just surmize, but this may be close to what I feel. I don't really know what happened so I can't say that I strongly believe anything in particular or be very specific.
I do believe in evolution because I see it happening. But also think that something had to get that started....whether the big bang theory, physics, what have you....but what made that happen? It could be some super intelligent aliens out there playing with DNA. Or it could be some single, minute energy driven thing that kicked the whole thing off. As far as a constant or ongoing personal involvement by a creator who loves us, I don't know about that. Don't have that kind of faith even though I was raised in the Episcopal church.
I understand that it is a question that has driven people in all cultures since time began. There are so many religions and beliefs out there, usually to do with one or multiple creators or gods who run things. It's a very interesting phenomena how that searching for the beginning is part of human nature and in some cases more than just a part, but their whole way of life, understandably so. Maybe that right there is the connection....that compulsion to seek. I guess, although I've questioned it and thought a lot in the past, I no longer am that curious about it. Maybe I will be some other time again.

i like puting the word energy to it because i think it explains it better, i dont belive theres some big being in the sky watching us in everything we do and guiding us...
but i do feel theres this "life force", this energy that is the same in everyone and everything and surrounds us. for those that want to feel it they can/do and call it what they will, god, buddah, the flying spghettie monster...
i belive this energy can be mildly manipulated by those more attuned to it...not in the holiwood kind of way but more a subtle "magic"
i also belive that this energy is never ending (electricity never dies it just moves on) and was here before the universe will be hear after the universe and was the spark that started life...that life being minute microscopic organisms which eventually eevoled into life as we know it...
i belive there was a man named jesus with some very wonderfull ideas, do i belive he was the only offspring of some great and powerfull creator being? no...
I do belive however we all have that "energy" within us...
I like how rufus put it in dogma...about having IDEAS because ideas are easy to change
i do call myself an eclectic pagan. beyond that...labels dont work for what i feel.
all i know is that when im surrounded by trees i feel a peek in a special kind of energy, the sound of the ocean fills me with a feeling of power ect.
I voted that i do belive because i belive in SOMETHING...whether that something fits into anyones traditional veiw of god...*shrugs* lol
