I now introduce Jess and her dog Dex. A fantastic pair if I do say so myself. This dog flips and jumps, sticks his tongue out and kicks her ass and they both love it, so here they are, I hope you enjoy

I love these next few, on this next one, notice the tight bond between handler and dog, I don't know if it's Jedi mind trick, Vulcan mind meld, or just plain 'ol body english, but notice the toe curl on Jess and the body curl by Dex

and on this one, notice the toe point, beautiful and straight. Wouldn't you know?? The dog is straight too.

Coincidence? I thought so too, until the next frame. Foot flat almost flat on the ground, dog landing almost flat on the ground. Hmmmmmmmm?

I love the look on Dex's face, he's like I just kicked your ass mommy, what do you think about that?

This would have been much cooler if I was on the other side, but oh well, look at that height? Crazy dog

Everytime they did this, I'd get Jay-Z playing in my head, something about backin an ass up

I love this first pic, I think it captures everything Zinga is, intense, ready, body willing to go in any direction, even if it's every opposing direction at once, but thankfully she wasn't moving at this instant and was able to get her in focus :)

I think Sara needs a better vest, I don't care how much the dog weighs it can't feel all that great.

you can see from this one, it can't feel good when they slide off your back and use your head as a take off point

IMG_6405 by zendogbuddha, on Flickr

Sara looks like she's in self preservation mode on this one :) I would be too.

IMG_6406 by zendogbuddha, on Flickr

Sara didn't follow my rule of no cool **** when I wasn't ready, but she brought Zinga out again after I had put my camera away and proceded to rip of like 3 amazing back vaults where Zinga actually jumped off her back rather than skidding off Sara's face or head.

I love this one too, straight nose dive and you can see from Zinga's eyes, it's all business yet. I'm thinking "houston we have a problem", Zinga is thinking, well who knows what that dog thinks :)

IMG_6420 by zendogbuddha, on Flickr

Just to prove that yes, the dog does spend some time on the ground

and a happy dog

Ok, I'm done with pictures. Just wanted to thank them again for coming out and putting on a show. Too bad they missed the Mondio competition, for missing, next time I'm going to put them in bite pants and equipment so they can get the real deal experience :) and I'll be sure to post the pictures

Just from our brief meeting I could easily tell that Jess and Sara are both committed and great dog handlers and more importantly, genuinely nice people. I had fun, and it was nice to get the dogs out to play before the trip home. Thanks again!!

Ahh!!! Great pictures!!!

Love, love, love the back vault picture of Dex.

Also, why does Zinga look so dang awkward all of the time?? Legs every which way. Those pictures of her head vault attempts are just brutal, and yes my head is sore today. Brat dog knows what a back vault is.

Thanks so much for meeting up with us, it was a blast! I adore your dogs.

Wow, amazing photos to compliment amazing dogs and handlers. I was ahhhh and ohhhhhh'ing so much my dogs started to bark :)

Thanks for sharing :D

Sara, awkward? no way, looks like pure athleticism to me, how she doesn't land on her head is amazing after being in those positions is very impressive.
