How do you know when they are crying/barking to go potty vs attention. I have a little guy 14 wks that doesn't like to be leased(around coffee table when in living room or in cage when not sleeping and he will cry/howl/bark/whine whichever you want to call it. I don't want to mistake his having to go to the bathroom for his wanting attention. Can you assume that he doesn't have to go if her has recently been out. I do not want to give him the attention when he is acting like this but with doing potty training (we have only had him going on 2 weeks from a puppy store) I can't have him run around when I am doing other things. He isn't asking to go out at all. I am so new at all of this and am trying to do my best just don't really totally know what to do. He is in his kennel all night 10-5:30 and then during the day from 8-330 he has done really well with toileting there a couple of accidents(pee) on his chuck(hospital bed type just to protect his bed) but has never pooped in there. Any and all advice people have is greatly apprecitated. I am unable to go home for lunch but leave as late as I can in the morning and my daughter is home no later than 330 to let him out. Like I said I am new and will take all advice given out from those that know. Also hates being outside alone not that I want to leave him out there alone but have had to a couple of times in fenced in kennel area.
