Lately we've been talking about how overall Chaz has gotten rather laid back about most hot button topics.

So my question for you, what still gets under your skin (Other than of course flat out abuse or neglect?). What topics do you bite your tongue on (or don't) or make you grit your teeth?

Making Chaz a more drama filled place one thread at a time. Join the cause.

The things that get under my skin...

Most recently the whole Gamergate debacle... with some of the antiquated views and attitudes that exist against females in the gaming subculture still bubbling to the surface. Not to mention the threats that were made against the women who spoke out in this case.

The net neutrality thing that is going on... I agree with the Oatmeal on this one 100%.

If you are looking for dog specific topics...

I still get annoyed anytime I see Cesar Milan.

People that rehome old dogs just because they are seniors...

The fact that so many dog folks can not seem to live and let live...

Many Craig's list adds...

Mostly though I avoid drama...it's bad for me!

Not much gets under my skin really. About the only thing I can think of are pudgy dogs, and inexperienced owners getting tough dogs/breeds and then complaining about it. I'll remember more I'm sure as everyone else chimes in.

Lately within dogs themselves I've gotten to the point that I'm tired of hypocritical breeders, ones who go on about temperament but have dogs known to be hard to manage, ones who test, and register but charge literally thousands for pups making them out of reach for the average person... I am even ambivalent about certain intentional crosses, as long as they are health tested and not sold to the highest bidder I'm pretty much cool... A lot of so called "reputable breeders" have seriously become out of touch with the "pet person" and that's whom 90% of dogs are with, the everyday person who wants a companion!!

If I ever breed again, it will be tested healthy dogs, with temperament as a priority and with the goal of breeding quality companions capable of sports at a level they can compete, but not so highly driven they are hard to manage! There is a niche for that I believe, they'll always be people like many here who are of high knowledge and want to compete at a high level... But there's also many who want to have an easy to manage dog, they can compete with on occasion not quite as seriously..

Oh... and not so highly priced only someone with a high disposable income can afford them!!

"My dog doesn't need heartworm pevention, heartworm medication kills dogs, I use all natural herbal remedies and my dog will never have heartworms. Or fleas. Or ticks. Or intestinal parasites. Or anything. Ever. Because natural oils are the grace of God."

"All processed dog food kills dogs. GRAINS ARE THE DEVIL AND WILL MAKE YOUR DOG DIE OF CANCER."

"Vet's only care about the money. VETERINARIANS ARE THE DEVIL AND WILL MAKE YOUR DOG DIE OF CANCER."

"You kill puppies and destroy children's lives because you have an intact animal."

Oh Blackrose, I forgot... The looks I get these days when some people see Crosby has *gasp* balls... OMG!!! When did it become evil to own an intact dog?

Look everyone! This is my new dog George! Isn't he the most handsome dog you've ever seen? I think he's a little on the thin side so I've been feeding him 10 cups of ol' Roy a day. I want him to be in prime shape when I bread him to a ConKC registered flufferdoodle next week. They both had full health testing done, my friend who read a Cesar Milan book on healthcare and behavior told me they were both good to bread. I think the pups should go for 2k a piece because they will be rare! And I am such a good person I'm going to include homemade copies of the whole first season of the dog whisperer with each pup!

Did I help? LOL.

Seriously though, the only thing that gets under my skin is when people feel the need to push their agenda. I may not agree with you, you may not agree with me; it's life.... Get over it.

As long as no *actual* harm is being done, people can have different ideas.

I just typed up a whole response and deleted it when I realized that nobody else is actually answering with forum-controversial things. I may have strong opinions, but I'm not that brave!

I'll wait for someone else to get it really rolling and then light my torch and see if I can find a pitchfork.

DO IT!

That was totally the point of this thread. We need some fire in the blood of Chazzers.

No way, I will wind up being the first person on the "to be banned" list!

I am incredibly against feeding puppies to crocodiles. That's what I was going to say. It gets my blood a-boiling.

I believe that we should start threads on every topic that people post about here. Maybe there should even be 'Controversial Issue Sub-Form'.

Here's what bothers me:
-People that are 100% against breeders. They think rescues are the only way to go and the whole dog over-population problem is the fault of all breeders. They don't care if it is a reputable breeder or a puppy-mill. To them, all breeders are terrible.
-ANY kind of designer dog. Whether it is a labradoodle, a pom-poo-shon-micro-miny-teacup-yorkie, or even a sports mix like a border-jack or a border-staffy. If you want a mutt, go to the pound.
-People who think anyone with an intact dog is a terrible person (although a lot of people with intact dogs *are* horrible people).
-Hannah the Pet Society
-People who say they can't volunteer at dog shelters because it 'makes them sad'.
-Overweight dogs. I have lost track of the number of times that people have said that Fable is too skinny, when in reality she is at an ideal weight.
-And what really irks me the most is when people think they know everything there is to know about dogs, and then proceed to tell other people what to do with their dogs. There is a reason why I do what I do with Fable, and if I don't ask for your opinion, please, for the love of God, keep it to yourself. No, I do not want to use a wire crate, feed that food, or go to that training class just because *you* think they are awesome.

Hey look! Someone against breeding cross bred dogs! We haven't had one of them speaking out in a long while :p

Edit: Ok Boston, someone said something that was more hot topic than feeding puppies to other animals!
