Penny needs a coat for the winter. Last winter, she was still growing so I just got her a $30 cheapo one. This winter, she'll be full-grown& we can move into a beautiful custom coat. Having said that, does anyone know a place where we can order said coat?!

Yeah.. I'm in Canada. So I'm not sure where you'd get 'em in the US either ;) I have had 4 people mention chilly dogs.. but I don't LOVE the look of them.

I have so many coats for my two dogs; the Hurtta ones I got them last winter are worth every penny. Great fit, covers the important areas, easy to get on and off. Even Gusto, who is horrible to try and wrestle into coats, puts his head right in the Hurtta.

Well ..loving the look is actually something that needs to happen for me to spend a large chunk of change on one! I am still leaning towards Ruffwear ..I just wish they had a shell on their fleece coats.

I've always used Shedrow dog coats, from Greenhawk (tack store). They're inexpensive, warm, waterproof or water resistant, and come in many different styles/colours.

I am thinking she'll end with one or two from Shedrow because a. I miss having horses to put winter blankets on& b. we train in a horse barn in the winter so.. appropriate!

The reason I didn't go with that style of coat is that Gages chest is bald so I had to have that chest flap to cover it, my poor naked boy. Heck I could do without a coat on his back if there was a way to keep his chest covered lmao.

I so want that pink shedrow one for Izzie.

So far I've found them nowhere around here though.

Izzie has a chilly dogs and she has ruffwear stuff. I usually layer her climate changer under her k9 overcoat and that works fine.

Tess has her Zentek jacket, which bears the distinction of being the most expensive wearable I've bought one of my dogs.

It's also her hula outfit.

It's also supposed to keep them cool in hot weather, but I haven't tried that.

I really like RC Pet coats for simple, easy on/off, yet still somewhat stylish. http://www.rcpets.com/index.php/browse/category/id/RC_Coat#main_panel

I'm personally not a big fan of the blanket-style ones, I think they look better on bigger dogs though than smaller dogs. But I do really like Chilly Dogs coats, I'm just hesitant to spend the money (it's a lot more shipping to US) and it maybe not fitting.

I have a Ruffwear fleece too that I really like him in, but it's not exactly 'easy' to put on. And things with sleeves tend to fit Jackson wonky. He has somewhat of a broad chest for a little dog. But I do like it.

I love the horse blanket type for ease, but they shift badly on both my dogs no matter the brand/style. I have Fido Fleece types for both dogs as well, but like to have something more water resistant for long periods outside in the snow.

Meg has a Zentek as well; I actually love it for the fit, and it does seem to keep her fairly warm given how lightweight it is. Crazy expensive though; I got talked into it at the vendors at Cynosport, just because I loved the look of them.
