My brother regularly borrows Murphy and Tipper so he can walk them past girls. He picked Murphy up from my grandpas one time and told me he got flirted (I call it road-flirted) with all the way to my place. :rofl1: I told him the true indicator of good girlfriend material is if she doesn't freak out when they jump on her. *nods wisely*

Herding breeds. :D But really, any dog. If I run into a person with an approachable looking dog, chances are I'll at least say hello to the dog. :p

Any dog is a plus for me. But I have to admit, pugs are ALWAYS a conversation starter.

For the record, my guy has a GSD/chow mix named Strider. He showed me pictures of him on his phone when we first met. :p

Men will come across a parking lot, store, and I have had a couple of people turn their car around after they left somewhere just to ask what breed the monsters are and if they can meet them, Usually Brutus.

Filas are definant Men magnets. My son also gets approached by tons of women when he is out with his Fila monsters. I would say any giant squishy wrinkled face dog will get attention from men as well as women. :)

Hmmm, I basically like any dog, but I am really shy so I don't go out of my way to talk to others. I'll smile and everything, but I never know what to say.

But Suzie gets SO much attention, everyone comments on her and everything. So I'll second what Shai say, retrievers and spaniels, or mixes therof :p

However, the sad thing is is that I never see any guy anywhere near my age walking their dog, unless its someone with a pibble, and then its usually a puppy just to show how 'tough' they are

Unfortunately my papillons tend to attract women. Or gay guys. Or old farmers. Seriously, I have had SO many older farmer types come up to meet Summer and tell me she's a **** fine dog lol. I think those types can spot an all around good ole dog from a mile away though.

There is a straight, single, older man that comes to the clinic that has 4 or 5 yorkies and occasionally has a litter. But he's the only one I've ever met like that :rofl1:
My FIL is single and super manly (he's a Mexican yard worker with a dodge ram pickup and posters of bikini girls all over his apartment) and his dog is the cutest tiniest little yorkie named Savannah. He ADORES her. And she does attract attention from girls. lol

I just saw this and had to add that the other day Logan got called a good-looking German Shepherd. Not just a GSD, but a GOOD LOOKING one. He's a good looking dog, yes, but good looking for a collie should NOT be good looking for a GSD :lol-sign:
:rofl1:

My single cousin is super shy and never gets talked to by girls. So when he comes to visit I let him take one of the borzois for a walk. It's pretty funny to see him get swarmed by women. I know it's him and the bozos, because I don't get swarmed by women wanting to "meet my dog". :rofl1:

You should see my dad with 'his' dog... :rofl1: He's the kind that's always had big hunting dogs and he will just swoon for Rose. He carries her around and baby talks her more than I do my dogs. But he's also the kind of guy that points out little babies and anything small and fluffy is cute to him.

I used to make my cousin walk both my girls and he got a lot of girls coming up to him.

For me it's mostly the way they interact with their dogs. There was a guy with a chihuahua that would go jogging with it every day. He was always out there with his dog and they were both in FAB shape. And then there was a guy with a mastiff and a yorkie-poo and yes both were his. I thought that was cute.
LOL, so funny. My dad is like that too. He has (along with his wife) a JRT/Shihtzu Mix and Dachshund mix and he babies them soooo much.

But I totally agree in the way they interact with their dogs... I've actually met 3 (what-I-think) were straight men who owned Yorkies, and there's a few on the Yorkie forums I belong to. To me, it's not so much about a breed. I just like to see a guy who takes good care of his dog, exercises his dog, etc.

I was watching some show like Animal Cops...one of the aspca officers was this big, tough, burly guy and he had a little pet yorkie mix. :D

I'm really shy, but I'm a lot more comfortable talking to random people when I'm with Tiffany. Tiffany does attract a lot of attention, usually from women and kids.

Goldens and aussies (or most herding breeds actually) would attract me to a guy.
Guys always stop to ask what breed Desoto is, I think the flashy blue merle markings and his compact muscular build make him appeal most to men out of the dogs I have owned.

My mom has told me before "There is this nice guy at work that I think you would like, but he might be gay..."
I've told her I currently have the position of Gay Boyfriend open, too, so that's no problem.

Seriously I could use a good gay boyfriend, possibly more than I could use a good boyfriend...

I remember on the morning show I listen to on the radio on my drive to work a couple months back they had this question out for people to call in. One guy called and said he never takes the time to get to know a woman with a small dog. He says his experience is that too many of them are needy and/or high-maintenance. He says if they own at least one dog over 40Lbs he'll start paying attention to learn more about them, anything smaller or no dog at all and he moves on. Just sharing the story here, not saying I agree with his view. Many of our clients are small dogs and certainly not all their owners are high maintenance.

As for guys with dogs, my interest perks up if I see them with any sort of dog that appears to be fit/in shape. I don't care what sort of dog it is (large or tiny) if its too chunky I'm put off. I also like seeing guys with a good ol' mutt. I always think thats super cute. Of course a guy with a HUsky is always cute too...but I think thats mostly about the husky not the guy LOL I know my brother always gets swarmed by girls if he has one of the huskies. Then again, so do I, the huskies just flat out attract everybody! Even people who dont even like dogs at all...

When I walk Riley I get alot of nice comments. I have not yet gotten any males my age attention with him! LOL! Now, when I take my friends white boxer on a walk with us i get swarmed! Riley is usually ignored by people when Benson is there.

I dont trust guys my age with a small dog! They are either gay or in a relationship. Or they are so into their little dog that I want nothing to do with them (like unhealthy into their dog)l. One guy clings to his dachshund for dear life!

I can say for a fact that German Shepherds attract guys, and a lot of them, too! I get a lot of guys coming over to talk to me when I have Trent with me, but guys in general tend to fall in one of two camps 1) they like Trent and come over to talk to me about him or 2) they are scared to death of him.

And since I AM longing for another dog right now (though not so much a guy :lol-sign:) I'll say that guys with herding and working breeds are definitely guys I'd go talk to.

Yeah, I'd imagine guys wouldn't be too attracted to a woman with a poodle. :( That's too bad.... Standard Poodles were on my shortlist for my next breed. I guess I'll just have to wait until I'm married.:p

i may not notice them right away, but i like girls with real working type dogs. a hot girl w/ blackmouth cur or patterdale is like a hot girl on her own harley or in her own dodge ram 2500, she's even hotter.
