I heard a lady talking today about how she was planning to get a dog. She's single, and was trying to figure out what breeds men liked in single women.
I thought it was an interesting discussion, because I'm personally very bad about judging guys based on their dog breed.... but I guess I always kind of thought I was weird that way, and never thought about guys judging women based on their dog breeds.
So that brings up the question:
What breed would you recommend to a man and to a woman to make them more attractive to the opposite sex?
For me: I know, without a doubt, that a man who is walking around with a yorkie either has a girlfriend, or has a boyfriend. I've never met a straight man who just likes yorkies enough to own one. It's true of a lot of small, fluffy breeds, but particularly yorkies.
I knew a guy with a huge great dane AND a huge saint bernard. I felt like he was overcompensating for something.
I think the breeds that attract me the most are herding breeds - aussies, collies, english shepherds, GSDs, etc. Not so much the corgis, but the medium to large ones. Maybe it's because the herding breeds are my favorite dogs too. But most guys who get a herder are athletic, active, social, career-driven, etc.
What do you think?? I'm particularly interested in hearing from the guys on this one.
