Your efforts are appreciated. Too many forums are coffee clatches from hell, with moderators lowering the boom on anyone who disagrees with them or their friends.
I have witnessed that here at chaz, in my opinion.

That isn't an opinion, that is a statement of fact. Care to show me exactly where you witnessed this? I am very curious...

Well, It's neat that you can learn something even in debates. There are always different views to learn about or different questions people ask. It's really fun to join discussions regardless of whether you agree with the views or not.

I like Chazhound because....I got kicked out but Renee was nice enough to let me back in. :D
There is a lot of good information here. I may not agree with everything, but it is always something to think about.
Yep...lots of good humor and some tear provoking reads...
Lots of smart people in here (and MANY of them are "young-uns")...
We share a common love for dogs and we all WANT to know what is best for our fur babies (as opposed to most of the people I know in "real life" who are SO very clueless about how to properly care for and protect their dogs).
I still don't feel very bonded with anyone in here but that's ok. I enjoy reading what everyone has to say (even the "trolls" are amusing).
And now, because it's SO late because there is so much to read...I think I'd better go to bed!
BTW....fellow "old farts"....1958. :p

I've been and still am members of other forums and normally it takes me a while to warm up when joining a new site. Chaz has become my most favorite place to stop and read everyone, or as much as I can, postings. Actually the first place I come to when I'm on the net is here. On Chaz I can always count on laughter when I'm feeling down, reading warm compassion from others when a person is going through tuff times and wealth of information. I also love that most here stand strong on issues I believe in, one of them is responsible breeding practices. I don't post as much as I should but I want to let everyone know that I enjoy each and everyone’s threads, love seeing their doggie pictures and even if I don't post anything I just want you to know that I always do awww in silence when looking at their furry friends. Thank you for such a great dog site!

I have to say since chaz was my first forum it has been a learning experience for me. I found out it can be really hard to express you self without sounding harsh in every post. I'm one of those people that also talks with my hands, so I have had to learn to express my self without my hand signals. lol I do enjoy chaz , and I have to check in everyday, some days I read, some days I post. But, the thing I like the most is people on here love their animals and that is what is is all about.
And most of all, people seem to be relatively normal. Not a bunch of weirdo's like the fila forums. Those people scare me...

Pam, you are bonded with me, heck i am here because of you....(you may get blasted now, lol)... but it's all good. A lot of good people here. I love the younger posters, they are so much more informed, caring and seem to have a cause. That is great. There are just so many that are great!

I love Chazhound... All the different personalities, ages, ideas, experiences. It's awesome. I love how active it is, and I especially love everyone's personal dog stories.
Isn't it nice to know that the youngin's aren't as bad off as everyone (especially the media, yes?) make them seem :p We've all had the privilege of meeting some of the brightest, most dedicated kids ... and adults!
I really could go on and on, but I'll just say ditto to everything that's already been said. I, too, joined but did not post for days. There's so much good advice, and its a good feeling to know that if I'm stuck in a jam I can post, and all these wonderful people are more than likely to reply

Pam, I love ya, but I got blasted because I love ya...lol! When I heard of your prob. here, I just stepped in...., but I have met sooooo many great people here that I love and adore.
I was harsh in the beg. because of you, no I don't regret it, heck, I didn't know people here. But in time, we both really got into this site. You know our "other site," and you know I am not hated there at all....if I don't post for a day or two, I get tons of mail..... they don't know that here. They just saw me being overly bold.... but I think both of us have made new friends here, and I really like it. I have been to "see" other forums and hate most, even though I did not even post. My next book will inclue "our forum" and Chazhound too. I think it's going to be about pet rats..... My foreward will include both forums, and give thanks to the animal lovers here and there.

Chazhound teaches me more and more everyday. I love the people here. You know what?? Chazhound is the "Cheers of the internet." Hey Norm! LOL

But really, I have learned so many wonderful things about how to better take care of my animals, and they have benefitted tremendously from it. They thank you from the bottom of their little hearts! :)

It seems that Chaz has brought together a melting pot of personalities, education, wisdom and of course grammy :) well and of course the pups...cant forget them. Such a great place to be when you need to chat or just have someone listen. Great job Chaz :)

Gonna bump this . . . it's a nice reminder of where we were last year and we can compare it to where we are this year :)

There are also a few names of friends here that we don't see as often now and could probably use an e-mail or two in the coming year ;)
