Wow , I still could have had all of you !!!! I was proud enough to put my birth year in my profile.... why don't you all !!! I always check there to see what age I'm dealing with before I post to newbies.... Your answer to an 11 yr. old should be addressed differently than an " adult " .....just a Grammy thought !

ROFLOL!!! A grammy thought. That's a good one. I will look up to you from now on with more respect than ever.... as the older, more mature woman that you are. LOL. I've just been going off of the writing style but you are wiser that you go straight to the facts....profiles for ages. That's good.

Lucille....I'm so glad that there is another oldster here. LOL! :D I think there aren't too many.

Because if you happen to be young, posting your age in your profile causes certain people to say "you're just a kid, what do you know?". It's not a huge deal, but it's quite frustrating. I do post mine here, as I know nobody will do that. At other forums I tend to say nothing about my age, just to be on the safe side. Some people positively hate having an intelligent conversation with a teenager.

I like the young folk here too but really what matters is the board quality. So many animal boards deteriorate into petty argument but this one is exactly like a family: older people, younger people, but everyone united by their dogs and concerns that they should have the best possible dog life, I have learned so much here already.

R.. I disagree ... showing your age is where the help enters... If you enter a site where you have a interest but no experience , then state it as such. No one is too old to learn or too young to learn.

I think everyone has to be careful about posting too much personal information. A name and birthday are key to identity theft.

RD, I used to do the same. And still do have to on one of the forums I am on, but all other forums I am open about my age. If they can't accept that I am an intelligent 15 year old that loves her dogs more than life itself, well, I only wish they do not treat their children as they did/do me.

I totally love talking to teenagers. When my daughter, who's now 25 was in highschool and my son too (he's 22) had their friends around, I soooooo enjoyed them. What a kick! And they thought I was a "cool" Mom. LOL. Even now, I go out karaokeing with my daughter, or out with her friends and her and they tell her, "OMG!!!!! I can't believe your Mom talks to you like that....about stuff like that. OMG! You guys are more like friends than Mom and daughter. My Mom would never say something like that." LOL.

So, rest assured that just because you're a teenager doesn't mean you aren't a joy and absolutely full of bright, innovative, fresh ideas, terrific humor and so much potential and a lot of years ahead to use it. Can you tell I like kids? LOL.

What I love about Chaz.....I love the fact that people on here are from different countries, are different ages and have different opinions. They all have one thing in common - they love dogs, & I've found dog loving people = good people.

When I feel sad about all the awful things that are happening in the world being on Chazhound cheers me up! (I sound like a bad commercial, lol).

While there are lots of serious discussions there are also may threads that make me laugh. Now I'm not so ignorant about dogs, and this place has helped me make some important decisions on behalf of my dog. Thanks to Chaz and the Chaz family.

I think mutual respect is the key to Chaz's success! I always try to treat others in the manner I would like to be treated! And I think that goes for everyone else too!
Obviously there are times when I would love to shake some of you, but i'm great at biting my tongue! ;)

Chaz is fun, informative, tear enducing and also hysterical at times! Chaz rules! :D

Casa... we Mods try to be in everyone's corner. I try to be fair... when it's in my forums, I wonder sometimes if I should delete...I try to leave it up to the more experienced Mods....I may be old here, but fairly new as a Mod.

Your efforts are appreciated. Too many forums are coffee clatches from hell, with moderators lowering the boom on anyone who disagrees with them or their friends.

Personally, I like that the moderators are pretty low-key - and not just for their 'pals' but as a general rule.
'Preciate that, Casa. Anyone can get cranked up over something; it happens to the best of us. I think I can speak for all the mods when I say that we'd much rather cool off the heated threads privately, not hampering the free exchange of opinions, and that most people really do mean well and respond quite gracefully. I know I've seen so much growth in so many here - and not just our kids :)
