In the beginning, I was really pleased to find a site where I could get help through my grief over the loss of my babe, Sebastian. This is my first experience with a forum and until this week, I have enjoyed my time sifting through the threads. I've discovered new ways to train my pups, laughed at the humorous posts, and even posted pictures of my babes for all to see (quite unlike ME).
Now I am finding too many threads involving mean-spirited comments. It seems even the simplest questions and requests for others’ appreciation of the babes we bring into our lives are fodder for opinionated rants. While differences of opinion are what make discussions interesting, when does common courtesy come into play? It makes very little difference to “play nice” later in the thread. The words are already out there.
Except for an occasional “pop” into this forum to see if the “tide” has changed, I have decided forums are not for me after all. It takes a lot of courage for some to post “windows into their life”. I, for one, don’t wish to chance a “slap” in the “face”.
