lol - yeah, like I said previously too - expressing concern and being rude are 2 different things.
Well, at least in my household.
If someone cooked me a meal out the blue, and I said.
"omg, you cooked for me, I might not LIKE it, did you even THINK to ask what I wanted? How do you even know I am hungry???!"
Compared to
"wow, that's very kind of you, thank you. What is it we're having? I love chicken.... not so keen on liver... I did eat earlier, but I'll try some and we can save what's left for later"
I'd say that opinion/concern is rude.

and if I want people to be polite.. the best way is to lead by example.
Its strange that you are concerned with other people's manners as one of those quotes was from you. If you feel that that behaviour is inappropriate perhaps you should not perpetuate it

However, I always try respect the hand that feeds me.
Bringing it back up again and again reminds me of the saying the more you stir it the more it stinks, possibly the best advice i ever learned from my old boss was that saying....why not let it rest..wait and see what happens..rehashing it over and over again does nothing. Pointing fingers at each other does nothing. It is what it is so why not sit back and see what happens. WE might be pleasantly surprised.
