lol - yeah, like I said previously too - expressing concern and being rude are 2 different things.
Well, at least in my household.
If someone cooked me a meal out the blue, and I said.
"omg, you cooked for me, I might not LIKE it, did you even THINK to ask what I wanted? How do you even know I am hungry???!"
Compared to
"wow, that's very kind of you, thank you. What is it we're having? I love chicken.... not so keen on liver... I did eat earlier, but I'll try some and we can save what's left for later"
I'd say that opinion/concern is rude.
