Guys, don't complain. It's REALLLLLLLYYYYY hard to say to another dog/puppy when your SO is all "yes let's take this one".

LOL DH keeps telling me we are at our limit....and then we aren't. We both "need" (not really NEED but want very badly) a prospect for the sports we are in and the retired dogs aren't going anywhere so...Thus we have our solid base of retired dogs and then the puppies that we hope will work out!

ETA: and Limit, who is somewhat older than puppy but there's still "hope" with the training hahahaha :D
I'm sure if my DH were into dog sports we would have more. He's solidly in the pet camp though and doesn't do any training beyond basic manners. And as far as training dogs myself I'm already worried about focusing on two! Though I think Watson will enjoy not having all the pressure on him.

Also, if anybody wants a 5 month old Welshie boy puppy with lots of energy, one just became available. He's being returned to his breeder for being too high energy and too much to handle :( I haven't met him but his parents are awesome dogs.
MEGAN!!!!!

(she won't, but should.)

Omg I just realized I can participate in this thread after years of drooling over everyone's puppies:)

This weekend after 6 months of searching we adopted a 10 month old long haired German Shepherd puppy.

Her owner was ill unfortunately and has a lot of complications from surgeries and just couldn't keep up with her. :(

We decided to name her Teeka, she's settled in so well and Maverick absolutely loves her!

We're hoping to do some fun scent work together in the coming months.

Hazel is home!! I'm totally exhausted and sleep deprived, but she's a lot of fun. She is very confident and "I can do it myself!" She's already tackled the couple steps going out to the yard - I think it took Watson a couple weeks to get him up taller or tougher steps. She loves climbing all over the various wobbly windsurfing boards and scrap lumber in one corner of the basement. I think she's going to be way more into agility than Watson ever will - he's always been a little weird about climbing on things, even as a pup, and while he'll do it with training, he doesn't love it. I have a feeling she's going to love agility once she realizes she can climb over stuff. I'm going to see if I can find a puppy foundations class for her in a couple months.

She loves to play and loves to follow us around. I know she's little and they all follow people around at this age, but I'm really pleased with her temperament so far. She's everything I was hoping to get in a pup.

Watson is ok with her. Mostly they sniff each other and kind of move on, which is nice. I thought one would obnoxiously follow the other around. He tries to play with her which is sometimes cute and sometimes annoying. Playing keep away with toys is cute, play bowing while barking loudly in her face is not. I think he really wants her to be a big dog already she can play with him for real. She's been very respectful of him and backs off if he growls, but tries to play when he's being not an ass about it.

I'm going to post a picture thread, but I'm waiting for my dad to take nice pictures this Thursday. Here are some for now! Unfortunately none show her tail. That tail is awesome. She carries it up like a flag when she prances around (not really correct, but adorable!) and whips it around when she's happy.
