Good call... Maybe get a local shelter involved... Make it an event where they come and show off their dogs... Get the local press involved. Offer free hotdogs and pop to people who come look at the dogs available...

Our parks here don't cost the Golden Club much ... Maybe around $100 or less.... That would be about $10 to $20 each. Let's start from that cost and see where we go from there. As far as prices etc. we each could bring something.

Sparks... I agree with you. It's a Chaz thing...let's not get too involved. The Goldens have a thing in southern PA and raise a lot of money... but it's a 5 day deal and a BIG gathering !

Maybe someday we'll have an Alaskan gathering .. and those who want can do a bit of salmon, halibut or trophy rainbow fishing too!

Thing is here, that son Michael was asking who would be in Indy the end of August as he wants to come out ....EliN has a business trip for a week in Copenhagen starting Sept 19th. So I was hoping the Chaz Mash wouldn't be then . I love PA in the fall !!! Tom and I did a trip in October looking up my Great Grand's old house, cemeteries etc around Pittsfield .
