It was amazing :)

Everything is where it should be (I was so afraid it would be ectopic) and looks just as it should. We even saw/heard sprout's heartbeat :D And, of course, I cried. Lol.

Anyway, I am so paranoid about everything.... The next one is in two weeks and I can't wait!

Whoo hoo! That's awesome news :D I cried during mine as well... I still think it was the happiest moment of my pregnancy!

I know it's SO hard to relax, but statistically your baby has a great chance of survival at this point. After your doctor can see the heartbeat, I believe the chances of miscarriage drops to below 10% :)

We did our maternity photos in Key West a week ago, and I just wanted to share one of them. Other than some swelling in my feet at the end of the day, acid reflux, and the occasional hormonal meltdown I'm feeling pretty great :)

I'm 3 weeks away from being full term :) Eviction notice will be posted at that point, although it's more likely I'll have her between 40-42 weeks since she's my first. I'm really thankful and grateful to be pregnant, but I'm ready for her to come out!

You look great! And happy. :) The hormone mood swings are no joke! Just as an FYI - there's a 2 day and 2 week post partum hormone dump. I hit my 2 day in the hospital and it was super intense. I'm really glad I knew about it beforehand because otherwise I would have thought I was losing my mind. It eased off within a day though.

I had Falon at 37 weeks. :p I don't recommend it, I really wish she would have baked at least a week longer. I think it would have helped our nursing issues a ton.

LOL I'm sort of lucky that my hormonal breakdown after she was born was masked by the fact that she was admitted to the NICU. It totally excused every reaction and breakdown I had.

When they were going to discharge me the doc had reservations because my blood pressure was a little high (which is not normal for me... my blood pressure has always been steady) and the nurse told him "The woman just had a baby admitted to the NICU unexpectedly on her last day in the hospital ad now she's getting ready to go home without her baby... I think a little blood pressure spike is probably a normal reaction" lol

Yes, I had one a bit "early" and one 10 days late....10 day late baby was much easier...he was a champion nurser, much calmer and settled, etc. Part of this is personality sure, but part really had to do with him being "older" I say bake baby bake lol

So, DH and I are thinking about trying later this fall, before he deploys, so we can attempt to time him getting home during the last trimester/birth barring any weird circumstances.

Any tips?!

I'm currently on birth control (pill)...that won't effect anything, will it?

It's weird to be thinking about having a child. But also exciting.

I was coming to say basically the same thing. We're going to start trying August-ish. I am coming off of Depo so not sure how long it will take my body to get back to normal. I was on it for 12 years before and it took 2-3 months to get my cycle regular. Now I was only on it for 6 months so I'm hoping for a quick turn around time...

My mom said it took her 6 months for both my brother and I before she got pregnant. I am hoping for more like 3 LOL Not that I'm expecting things to go as planned but I really don't want to be hugely pregnant in the heat of GA summer!

I'll just say I was coming for the same thing. :p

You know, for future planning and whatnot. And to follow along with everyone else. XD

We can all be twins? (not have twins, please god.)

Good luck to everyone who will be trying soon!

We didn't try but didn't prevent for 5 years... but then tried for 4 months and ended up pregnant :) I haven't been on BC since I was in college, but I know of a ton of people who ended up pregnant on their first cycle off BC.

The best advice I can give is to CHART! There are a lot of good apps out there- I used P Tracker. I charted for 4 months and it was interesting to look back at my cycles and see exactly why/how I probably wasn't getting positive pregnancy tests.

Just relax and have fun, and don't stress if you don't get a positive pregnancy test in 1, 2, 3 months, etc.

In other news... I hit 35 weeks today :yikes: I have so much left to do before Nora comes, and I can't believe she'll be full term in just 2 weeks!

I worry about how long it will take. I don't know why I have this worry, but I just worry that I'm infertile or something. I do keep track of my cycles, which are typically very regular.

We aren't even going to start trying for another few years, but I already am anticipating that and worrying that we should be starting NOW to get a kid THEN.

Why am I worrying so much!?

Well, I has an alien but I'm not willing to share.

About 11 weeks now. Little monkey has kept me on my toes though. Found out I have a subchorionic hematoma on weds, following a very scary bleed which found us in A&E. I'm signed off work till my next scan, but haven't had any bleeds since (which I could). Got all my fingers and toes crossed nothing else goes wrong, cos I'm kind of attached to the little thing.

Not sure how this will affect my trip....... Telling my parents tomorrow, so thought I may as well share.

Oh my gosh, congratulations!!! How have you been feeling?

It seems like subchrionic hematomas are pretty common, but sound terrifying. I'm sure that everything will be fine! :)

Other than the emotional roller coaster I'm fine! No sickness what so ever. Boobs like bags of glass, and tired but overall ok! SCH is very scary.... Luckily the hospital were great and the doc I saw was wonderful and made us feel a lot better. And we got to see the best scan to date (baby was kicking legs and shaking arms and we saw the eyes and mouth!). I'd only had a scan the day before and told all was fine, so was a massive shock.

Baby is lively and seems quite happy, so just got to stay positive! Dont think I will relax for a long while yet though.

I'm kind of hoping for 3 months, too, because that's going to be the time frame we have to work with. If it doesn't happen before he leaves, the next best opportunity will be almost two years from now. Which sucks.

We'll likely start trying in...October? Depends when he is scheduled to leave in January.

I have a huge fear that I'm infertile and won't be able to get pregnant. Which is silly, but I can't help but think it.

My fear is, before I started on birth control I had irregular periods. Not *too* irregular, maybe every 5 weeks, but I couldn't set my calender by them. I'm trying to decide if I should stop my birth control a few months before we start trying just so I can see what my body is going to do menstruating wise. But having to worry about condoms again is going to *suck*.

Eta: Congrats, Dizzy! :D

Congrats Dizzy! Lots of uneventful pregnancy vibes!

Yaaaay another round of chaz babies maybe?! DH and I are thinking about starting TTC this fall or winter.

I'm planning to have my IUD removed a few months early to allow my body to get on a normal cycle again - I've never NOT been on BC since I was 17. Of course I just hit 4.5 years with my IUD and my period is attempting to come back, so I may pull it sooner if I keep getting this annoying spotting.

Average length of TTC is 6 months - I do know a number of friends who conceived on their first try after going off BC, though! My BFF was one of them - didn't even have a cycle after having the IUD taken out before she was preggers.

I did not know that.

One of my BFFs also got pregnant immediately after coming off her BC...they were using the "pull out method", one oops and bam, preggo. She got pregnant super fast with her second child as well.

I wish you lived nearer to me.
