I would feel that u r correct and the bitch and all her pups would be spayed/neuter.
She is dead! you know that! I have spoken to the vets and other breeders and I have been told that its not hereditary and its not something that will be passed along to her pups!

Well i trust my vets oppinion, and they have said that because its an allergy to the pregnancy hormone and not a food or seasional allergy than Its not a problem! its something that goes away with whelping and causes no long term affect, i had the same when I was pregnant

Breeding sisters? Interesting title. I had a hard time seeing how that would be done lol.

Anyway, leave your problems from other forums behind you when you come to chaz. We don't care what happened in other places we care how you act here. I'm sure you can agree to disagree.

As to your sisters GJ I have no clue but I know you'll figure it out. You always do your research :)

thanks hehe yep i didnt think abotu that title lol, but I know its early days but they are both doing great in shows, but as for condition and maturity candy is on top, but that could all change, we will see, and at least i have loads of time to find the perfect stud dog, as I used my boy last time so i havent done this for one of my bitches before, i think It will take a while to fien one good enough for my girls, it may sound funny but it would be nice if I had a few in mind now so i could get to know them for the next year to see if they are what i am looking for

This has been an on going arguement on another board, so why did you decide to bring this arguement here? Gallien is a very resapected member here and those of us that know here will not stand by for you who did bash her on another forum to pick it up here too.

Gallien trust your vet and your own common sense and do what is right for you and your dogs. Ignore people who come here to continue and old arguement from somewhere else. I thought the rules here were do not bring other forum isssues here, WELL

Hello.

I am new here.

I just wnated to add, becasue I am very passionate about breeding and irressponsible breeders.

No dog if it has genetic issues, is not a champion and has temperment issues should be bred and no responisble breeder would breed such an animal.

So if said dog does have issues, has not gained it's champoinship , please do not breed it. There are enough dogs out there that have no problems and are being properly bred. Why add dogs that may end up being put down due to these issues, or costing the new owner lots in vet bills?

You certianly can't give a health garuntee with problems that are genetically passed down.

Just my two cents on the breeding issue.

It has been stated several several times that the dog in question has no genetic issues, and health guarantees are given. Gallien is about the most responsible person I know. I am passionate about breeding and irresponsible breeding as well. I see so much in the rescue that I run...Gallien is responsible and for people from other forums to come here attacking........that is wrong.

Definitely agree, but it's not the case of Gallen, she's a good breeder.

If I'm understanding the issue correctly, the mom's skin problems were entirely due to being pregnant and nothing heriditary. It's sort of like when a human mother develops a type of diabetes while she's pregnant, which then disappears after birth. It is not passed on to the children and as far as I know does not raise the child's risk of contracting a full-fledged case of diabetes. Pregnancy does all sorts of funky things to the body and some of the conditions that arise during shouldn't be used as a marker to overall health.

BUT, I didn't read that there was tempement issues with this dog ? I am sure I did.

Again if the dog is not a champion, has temperment issues IE agressivness, then no it should NOT be bred. How can you guarentee the pups will not inherit ( sp ) the same aggression issues ? You can't. The betterment of the bred should also come from temperment.

Doberman's have been bred for temperment. No one who is responsible would breed one that has faults such as shyness and aggressiveness. Those are considered faults and can be from the parents. That can go for any breed of dog, Jacks included.

What are all those new people who arrive out of nowhere to start questionning breeding ethics or our long time members? As if we were not already picky enough about breeding, lol. I just don't get it...

Anyone can post, so long as it's respectful and doesn't involve drama from another forum. We've got enough of our own, don't need extra. :D

Some of these new members are from another forum that Gallien posts at. I was there for less then a day and left because they are constantly bashing the good and supporting irresponsible breeders there.

No where, did Gallien ever state that the dog in question had tmeperment issues, or hereditary issues. It is people from another forum wishing to create issues. Just like me breeding Hope. People choose to believe whatever they wish instead of the truth. Hope was boarded at a rescue by us to prevent unwanted pregnancy until we could get the health tests done on her, based on that everyone started pipping in that we were breeding a rescue dog. If some people from other forums had the ability to read and understand what the words mean then these sorts of arguements would not happen. However I firmly believe that these sorts of people live to argue...another name is a troll.
