The Dark Tower/Gunslinger series by Stephen King are a great read. Sometimes slow and you need to be focus, BUT I love them. The imagination in them is thrilling!

How about The Cure for Death By Lightening by Carol Shields. She's a really interesting Canadian author and I really enjoyed her book.

Sorry! The Cure for Death by Lightning is by GAIL ANDERSON-DARGATZ and The Stone Diaries is by Carol Shields. I really liked them both. Being from Sask. you might really like the Stone Diaries actually.

Calling on all readers. I just finishe Memoirs of a Geisha. AWESOME! Now I am not sure what to read next. Any suggestions (non dog related)??

Memoirs of a Geisha was excellent! It's one of my favourite books. I heard they were making it into a movie, but that was like 2 years ago, so I don't know if it's still happening. I think it would make a great movie, though.

Unicorns of Balinor is a great series.Its more for kids, but I believe in unicorns!!!It really will take you into the world of Balinor.It was my bedtime...I got in trouble because I got soooo lost in the book!
