Normally not really but right now Lodin gets one in his crate at bedtime so anyone else sleeping not-on-the-bed for the night gets one too because otherwise there will be canine hearts breaking into little pieces :p

And they are a jar of JillCookies that I don't really use for anything else. The dogs love them.

Mine always get a cookie for going in their kennels at any time during the day... I like to reward the heck out of crates bc I like dogs that just love their crates. At night they get an extra treat though what it is depends on my mood, what I have available, etc... But I like it to be something that takes a little time to get through. I think it helps them settle.

Yep, I give bedtime treats. Jubel is sad and pathetic if he doesn't get it too. Which is the case right now post teeth extraction. Supposed to wait 2 weeks before giving him anything but soft foods, we just passed 1 week on Wednesday. Not sure I'll hold out all 2 weeks, my puppy is sad.

Special bedtime cookies here, too. It started with Mick. He'd get two, one for going in his crate and one for "Good night". Once he wasn't crated at night, he'd get just one after his last out. I started giving Caleb one after Last Call to prevent what I call "empty stomach syndrome" (he started puking up phlegm around 5-6 AM) .

I used to with Byron. Along with a morning cookie. If he didn't get it he had empty belly pukies.

I don't know why but we've never been big on treats. Usually just some dog food even for training.

I don't typically give special treats at bedtime, but they do get a treat at bedtime. Abrams gets treats (they're little, I throw a handful into his cage) every time he's crated, which includes nighttime, and Cynder gets a treat then, too, even though she isn't crated. She'll actually follow me into the garage or wait in a sit/stay until I come back in with her treat. Lol

Pretty sure the habit started with my childhood dogs. They were kenneled outdoors at night and when we let them out in the morning they'd get a milkbone, and when we'd kennel them again at night they'd get one as well.

Mine always get a cookie when I go to work. Mia gets hers in a food toy. At night they get a cookie but just because that's when I give Summer her allergy medicine so since she eats that in a treat, they both get one.

Mine don't get bedtimre cookies but Mia's favorite time is bedtime. I just have to let her out for the last time and she races in and jumps on the chair next to my bed then onto the bed and gets all excited. But we usually play/wrestle, snuggle, or toss the ball for about 15 minutes before going to sleep.

Watson always gets a kong (usually the kong bone) with peanut butter in it when he goes in his crate. He doesn't sleep in his crate anymore, but he still goes in his crate (door open) and gets his peanut butter kong every night.

As a kid, our dogs didn't get a treat at bedtime, but they did get a special cookie around 9pm (which they gradually moved up to 8, then 7 :lol-sign:)

I must be a very mean person: no after pottying cookies, no after walk cookies, no crate cookies, and no bedtime cookies here.

The dogs often get their breakfasts in their crates in the morning when I get ready to leave and Aeri gets a portion of breakfast kibbles or biscuits scattered on the floor as I walk out the door to redirect her once frantic door bouncing, but that's it.

I tried to give "coming in from outside" treats because Hudson is sooo good about "Ok, time to go in" and I want to reward that. Unfortunately, the cat is super obnoxious. She also gets a treat and now stands at the door and yowls when we go outside. Treats have since stopped, except on an occasional basis

My boyfriend gives the dogs bedtime cookies every night. I thought he was weird, but the dogs love it, he loves it, and it's fun to watch them get all stupid in front of him while he brushes his teeth.

Mine get "come in from outside" cookies as well as "bedtime/I'm leaving" cookies. They all go in crates except Kimma, and if I didn't give Kimma one that would be a shame. The coming from outside thing I like because it keeps their recalls coming in the house super fast and consistent. I don't feel like dealing with a dog that won't come in, and I like dogs to like their crates. Nothing super special, but something they only get at those times (Old Mother Hubbard hard biscuits in particular are a hit here).

Jari will usually get a Kong when I leave for work, and sometimes Kimma will too. Bully sticks are reserved for when I teach cello lessons at my house a couple of times a week.

Sometimes I give bedtime cookies if I remember, but not always and not routinely. And most mornings I toss a cookie inside their crates before I leave, but not always. I really don't hand out very many cookies. Lately I have been trying to give more cookies though (one a day) because I bought some joint supplement ones. But no actual cookie routines or anything. Just kind of whenever I remember, or if I feed them earlier in the evening then I give them a cookie right before bed if I know I will be getting up late, just to prevent anyone from throwing up from hunger. A cookie in that situation before bed helps a lot.

My dogs don't get bedtime cookies. And they don't get post-walk cookies, either. Treats are for training. Or looking cute. Which basically counts as training, right? ;)

They do, however, get fed right before bed. Bedtime routine is let the dogs out, feed the dogs, feed the gecko, feed the mouse, dick around on the internet until I can't keep my eyes open, go to sleep.

They also get fed approximately noonish, which is either before I go to work or after I come home, depending on the day. When I work a full day they get fed before I leave and then get a handful of kibble when I come home to tide them over until bed/dinner time.

We do Going Away cookies. If you grab the container of medium crunchy cookies and say "cookie party!" They all go to either thier crate or our bed or the couch depending on where they hang out when we aren't there.

My dogs are super picky and won't eat in the morning. Even Buster since he sometimes gets an icky belly in the morning and won't eat. But around 9 or 10 am they get a few treats and are fed around 1-2 pm and again in the evening. They do get treats before bed.

It has always been a thing around here even with my childhood dogs. Even more so with Buster now because he expects a few cookies after he comes back from going potty at night. Dang hound haha. :p But he's old and gets what he wants most of the time.

ETA: My cats don't get treats every night since Tiger has a sensitive tummy but they get them often enough but not every night. Mostly during the day.
