How is this?

This is what I want to send...Let me know if it looks ok and I will send it off.

Elaine,
This is in regards to Charlie the dog in foster care and Jessica who was ready to give him a forever home. Dorothy Day is the person in charge of this dogs adoptive home choice.
I usually wont get into these types of matters as they are sensitive ones. I do not have all the details on this other than her fenced yard which is 30x30 wasnt large enough for 2 dogs.
From what I have seen through her posts on a forum I am a member of she has shown nothing but love and responsibility towards her dog and others. She has been a great help to those with questions and a good shoulder to those who need it.
If the reason she cannot adopt Charlie is because of a 30x30 fenced in yard is too small ...Thats not a very good reason. I know several people who have fostered and worked with rescue organizations who have adopted out dogs to homes with little to no backyard. Several home visits were made to make sure the dog was getting proper care and exercise
I also wanted to point out that If you have a criteria for future adopters you should make them clear before a visit for adoption is scheduled.
Why give hope then pull it out from underneath a person? Thats heart wrenching and quike frankly rude and insensitive.
I am not trying to point fingers cause again I do not know all the details.
I am curious however to your criteria for a perspective adopter. If you could email me back with a outline of your guidelines for an adoptive home I would appreciate that greatly. Maybe a situation like this can be avoided in the future.

Thank You,
(My full name and phone number)

This is what I wrote:

'Good morning

I know you probably got a lot of emails about this already, but I would like to join my voice to the others.

My name is xxx, I'm also from Chazhound (Fran27 is my screen name). I've known Jessica for a while now, she's a wonderful owner, a really nice person, and she was really heartbroken to be refused the adoption of Charlie. She may not have a huge fenced yard, but she got enough place in her heart and schedules to give two dogs long walks and lots of excercise. She's a great dog owner to Chloe and I'm sure she would be wonderful to Charlie!

I'm not sure why Dorothy Day decided to refuse her application... but I think it was unfair. So many dogs need good homes, and not many will find one better than Jessica's.

I hope you reconsider.

I'll send an email as soon as possible. I own a catahoula, and my yard is smaller than 30'x30'.

I just read this post, and I sent an email too.
I wrote:
Elaine,
I wanted to send an e-mail to you in regards to Jessica adopting the Catahoula mix Charlie. She has been so excited about adopting him and bringing him home. I was so disappointed to hear that she has been turned down due to the size of her fenced yard. There are so many dogs out there who want and need the love of a good family and a family that they can rest assure that they will always be a part of. Obviously, we have rescue organizations and foster homes because ,unfortunatly, not everyone is able or willing to give their time and love to the many wonderful dogs in this world. It just breaks my heart that when a very deserving person willing to give her love, time and share her home with a dog in need of just that, gets turned down because the size of her yard. I know you have to look and take into consideration everything for the well being of Charlie, but to find a absolutly perfect situation for every animal in need is almost impossible. Jessica knows about the care, training and everyday needs of dogs and she knows that she is fully capable of giving Charlie everything he needs. I just hate to think that with all the dogs in foster homes or in shelters wanting so badly the love and companionship of a good family, and then when one finally comes along their hope and dreams get destroyed. Why?, because of a yard. To me that sounds unfair to Charlie and to Jessica. Jess is and experienced dog owner who, along with the other important needs, knows how to give him all the exercise he needs, and I'm sure her dog Chloe will too. Please reconsider, and give Charlie the chance to have the wonderful life he deserves, and allow Jessica to be the wonderful owner that can give him just that.
Sincerly,
xxxxx xxxxxxxx

Good Luck Jess!!! I hope you get him!!!:)
