I wanted to send an e-mail to you in regards to Jessica adopting the Catahoula mix Charlie. She has been so excited about adopting him and bringing him home. I was so disappointed to hear that she has been turned down due to the size of her fenced yard. There are so many dogs out there who want and need the love of a good family and a family that they can rest assure that they will always be a part of. Obviously, we have rescue organizations and foster homes because ,unfortunatly, not everyone is able or willing to give their time and love to the many wonderful dogs in this world. It just breaks my heart that when a very deserving person willing to give her love, time and share her home with a dog in need of just that, gets turned down because the size of her yard. I know you have to look and take into consideration everything for the well being of Charlie, but to find a absolutly perfect situation for every animal in need is almost impossible. Jessica knows about the care, training and everyday needs of dogs and she knows that she is fully capable of giving Charlie everything he needs. I just hate to think that with all the dogs in foster homes or in shelters wanting so badly the love and companionship of a good family, and then when one finally comes along their hope and dreams get destroyed. Why?, because of a yard. To me that sounds unfair to Charlie and to Jessica. Jess is and experienced dog owner who, along with the other important needs, knows how to give him all the exercise he needs, and I'm sure her dog Chloe will too. Please reconsider, and give Charlie the chance to have the wonderful life he deserves, and allow Jessica to be the wonderful owner that can give him just that.
