I'm not mad at cha... It's your opinion and your right to like who you want to.. :)

To me Biggie's Ready to Die album was like nothing ever heard before. It was released in '94 and I still listen to it and think "WOW."

:p I think the same thing about 2Pac's All Eyez on Me album...its one of those that I can listen too all the way through with out skipping any songs :)

But I still love my guys from the south....

Pac was born in the east side, but after having beef with biggie and bad boy record label, he signed with death row records... the west side. Just wanted to clear that up.

I also agree with rap being all about tallent, but I do give tupac props for getting through all the hard hard times in his life. He went throught a lot of sh*t from the day he was born. He not only talked the talk, he walked the walk... so to speak.

Actually Tupac moved from Baltimore to Cali because his mother wanted to. She felt like she couldn't make it anymore in MD, and struggled to find work. He didn't move because of beef with Big or Junior Mafia..

Tupac (RIP) did stupid ****.. yeah.. he committed crimes and acted like an idiot, many times. That **** doesn't make you a better artist. He got lucky.. he found a way to make his life work for him. Something that most might not realize is that only people who don't know anything about growing up in a ghetto think that it's cool to be in that position. It's not a good thing to have to hustle or commit crime...

As far as the feud goes between tupac and dre. He was mad at dre because he did a track with naz, and naz is from the east side. Also, tupac claimed that dre took credit for other peoples work.

Before tupac was killed, he stoped talking to snoop, his best friend, because snoop said that biggie makes good music durring an interview. Tupac didnt like biggie at all. They used to be friends, but blamed him for setting him up when he got shot 5 times and survived. Pac said puffy was in on it also.

I personaly believe that biggie was in on the first shooting, especially when he made the track "who shot ya".

As far as who is the best rapper, its all about personal opinion. The reason why I think tupac was the greatest, is because he was a thug, he rapped about things that other rappers were too "cool" or "hard" to rap about. He rapped about how he loves his mom, about men hurting women, about single mothers. Tupac showed his soft side and wasnt afraid to.

Here is a song by pac that shows his soft side. This is one of my favorite songs, and I know tons of women who can relate to the lyrics...

Some say the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice
I say the darker the flesh then the deeper the roots
I give a holler to my sisters on welfare
Tupac cares, and don't nobody else care

And uhh, I know they like to beat ya down a lot
When you come around the block brothas clown a lot
But please don't cry, dry your eyes, never let up
Forgive but don't forget, girl keep your head up
And when he tells you you ain't nuttin don't believe him
And if he can't learn to love you you should leave him
Cause sista you don't need him
And I ain't tryin to gas ya up, I just call em how I see em
You know it makes me unhappy (what's that)
When brothas make babies, and leave a young mother to be a
pappy
And since we all came from a woman
Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman
I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?
I think it's time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women
And if we don't we'll have a race of babies
That will hate the ladies, that make the babies
And since a man can't make one
He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create
one
So will the real men get up
I know you're fed up ladies, but keep your head up

[Chorus]

Keep ya head up, oooo child things are gonna get easier
ooooo child things are gonna get brighter [2x]

[Verse Two:]

Aiyyo, I remember Marvin Gaye, used to sing ta me
He had me feelin like black was tha thing to be
And suddenly tha ghetto didn't seem so tough
And though we had it rough, we always had enough
I huffed and puffed about my curfew and broke the rules
Ran with the local crew, and had a smoke or two
And I realize momma really paid the price
She nearly gave her life, to raise me right
And all I had ta give her was my pipe dream
Of how I'd rock the mic, and make it to tha bright screen
I'm tryin to make a dollar out of fifteen cents
It's hard to be legit and still pay tha rent
And in the end it seems I'm headin for tha pen
I try and find my friends, but they're blowin in the wind
Last night my buddy lost his whole family
It's gonna take the man in me to conquer this insanity
It seems tha rain'll never let up
I try to keep my head up, and still keep from gettin wet up
You know it's funny when it rains it pours
They got money for wars, but can't feed the poor
Say there ain't no hope for the youth and the truth is
it ain't no hope for tha future
And then they wonder why we crazy
I blame my mother, for turning my brother into a crack baby
We ain't meant to survive, cause it's a setup
And even though you're fed up
Huh, ya got to keep your head up

[Chorus]

[Verse Three:]

And uhh
To all the ladies havin babies on they own
I know it's kinda rough and you're feelin all alone
Daddy's long gone and he left you by ya lonesome
Thank the Lord for my kids, even if nobody else want em
Cause I think we can make it, in fact, I'm sure
And if you fall, stand tall and comeback for more
Cause ain't nuttin worse than when your son
wants to kno why his daddy don't love him no mo'
You can't complain you was dealt this
hell of a hand without a man, feelin helpless
Because there's too many things for you to deal with
Dying inside, but outside you're looking fearless
While tears, is rollin down your cheeks
Ya steady hopin things don't all down this week
Cause if it did, you couldn't take it, and don't blame me
I was given this world I didn't make it
And now my son's getten older and older and cold
From havin the world on his shoulders
While the rich kids is drivin Benz
I'm still tryin to hold on to my survivin friends
And it's crazy, it seems it'll never let up, but
please... you got to keep your head up

I like very little rap these days, I hate DMX because of how he treats and portrays dogs in his videos and you could not pay me to listen to him  . I like the older rap Run DMC "classic real rap" :D I like some of 50 cents stuff. As far as Tupac and Biggie smalls go I never cared for there music and as far as I am concerned they would still be alive if they stayed out the game and away from there negative roots. There is a saying that goes "you can take the boy out the hood, but you can't take the hood out the boy" So if they stayed out the hood then they would still be here making music! Just my 2 cents ;) Jealousy and Envy isn't pretty in the rap game!

Yes, and his mother was actually in the black panthers and trying to get away from her past. Her past with the black panthers is the reason why she couldnt find work. But tupac was still friends with biggie and the east coast until he got shot the first time. You are right... pac and his mom did not move because of beef with the east side, because that was BEFORE he got shot in NYC.

Suge knight bailed pac out of jail, and pac then signed with death row records on a deal that he would make atleast 3 records. Pac hated the east side at this time.

He did go to school, but it was not easy for him. He was a huge outcast, because of what he looked like, and because he was poor. That is the reason why he took up the whole tough guy look, so people would accept him. He started dealing drugs to make money, and started rapping.

If that was the case, he wouldnt have been EVEN accepted into that school, he had a enormous amount of potential, because as you should know he is a GREAT poet and not to mention the fact that his teachers loved him....He didnt start getting into trouble and rapping until he moved to Oakland...

re-read the post, I'm talking about the shooting deaths: LOL

Seeing as we're on the topic of "who shot who?"...

Suge Knight. Suge Knight was the mastermind. I believe fully. Why you ask?

Because Tupac was leaving death row and starting his own label. Suge owed Tupac 10 mil. The feud between Biggie and Tupac was already going on. So he made it look like Biggie got Tupac, than had Biggie killed and made it look like retaliation. Suge Knight was a flash gangster, while the realy grimey gansta was Harry O.

I've heard all theories and I personally think it was Suge, he didn't want to pay up and at the time Tupac was his main man.

Edit: As for Tupac dealin drugs, he did, but not for long, couldn't handle it.

I dont think suge was involved. For one... suge would have been in a different vehicle than tupac, but instead he was the driver and tupac was in the passenger seat (thats real smart). A bullet even grazed suges head. He was driving his brand new BMW sedan, which was damaged from all the bullets. I believe 14 bullets were sprayed into the car.

Death row provided tupac with a bullet proof vest that night, but he didnt wear it.

Who knows what happened for sure.

I've seen the interview when Suge was in jail...

You've got to see it.. it's hard to explain, his story is just unbelievable, he said all of those things you mentioned and it sounded planned, planned so he wouldn't be blamed. I doubt the fact that his car got shot up mattered, the guy had millions from peddling drugs and Tupac. The bullet that grazed his head...lol, I've got worse scabs from itchy mosquito bites.

Maybe I'm just paranoid and always looking for conspiracies LOL, but I just can't believe him. I forget what the documentary was called but it was while Suge was in jail and he talks about the shooting...

I don't think we will know for sure, there are body guards that do know though and have implied that Suge had something to do with it. By mentioning numerous times that Tupac planned on leaving deathrow and was owed millions. Suge's dirty though, and I don't think anyone will ever on the record speak up.

I really need to see that documentary. The reason why I mentioned the bullet grazing his head was because he could have very easily been killed also. He is lucky that the bullet didnt hit him in the head. It was a close call...
