Hey there,
I don't think my dog is anorexic, but, she does on occasion vomit after eating. At first I thought it might be the tap water (chemicals in the water) so I changed her to bottled for a while, no problems. A friend suggested I just fill a jug with tap water and let it sit for a day or so before giving it to her so the chemicals would eveporate (or something) did that and thing where great. No vomiting after eating for a good couple of months.
then she did it again. And hadn't done it for another couple of months. She did it today and sometime two weeks ago or so.
First off its usually with in 5 minutes after she eats. I dont' think its happened after that. So it usually fairly close after she eats. I give her solid dog food. I almost think that perhaps she eats to fast? is that even possible? Also, when she throws up the pieces of dog food are usually still in tact (look the same as when they went in). Do dogs usually (sometimes) basically swallow there food? or do they usually chew it all up and for some reason she doesn't?! I really don't think the issue is with the water, I think it has something to do with her eating habits.
so to sum it up, this doens't happen everyday. It goes a month or two with out happening. Then it might happen once and not again for another month or two. Then it might happen once or twice....and nothing for months.
Any advice or suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
