    Imaginary friends?

So many people had such interesting imaginary characters in their lives growing up! I had a shape-shifting companion named Ayra for a while. She was pretty much like my daemon if you've read The Golden Compass, or an animal version of a Shadow if you've read The Seventh Tower. Ayra preferred...

How long did you believe in Easter Bunny?

Never. My mom always made it a point to stress that the reason we celebrate Easter and Christmas is strictly religious. Which is really funny because none of her children are even remotely religious now.

    Crate Setups

Kailey's crate is nestled right in between my bed and the wall. The way my room is arranged, it looks really claustrophobia-inducing, but that's the way she likes it. Plus, I don't have room for much else. Schaffer's crate is down in the basement. That's the drawback to such a huge dog; not...

Would you eat in a restaurant alone?

I wouldn't have trouble at a cafe or something, like others have said. But if it's a place I wouldn't feel comfortable going in with some pretty casual street clothes on, no. I just wouldn't see the point. The odd thing is, I feel really bad for people eating alone at fast food places. If...

Colorado Senators to Intorduce Bill to Require Cops Take Dog Training

I'm sure some people would take it that way, unfortunately. Especially since Colorado sill has a lot of pit bull hysteria caused by BSL. What would be nice is if people would call animal control instead of the police. But that'll never happen.

Colorado Senators to Intorduce Bill to Require Cops Take Dog Training

I know. And the thing that sucks is there are a lot of people not following the rules and getting pitties right now. The cops kind of don't care at this point. But in general, the people getting the dogs are the ones who probably can't handle that kind of animal whereas the ones who are choosing...

Colorado Senators to Intorduce Bill to Require Cops Take Dog Training

Unfortunately, yes. BSL is still a thing here and you can't have a pittie or pittie-mix. There's talk of them revoking it due to costs and lack of people actually following the rules, though there seems to be little follow-through.

Colorado Senators to Intorduce Bill to Require Cops Take Dog Training

http://www.denverpost.com/ci_22701621/colorado-senators-introduce-bill-require-cops-take-dog I really hope it passes. The Chloe incident was just awful, and unfortunately, not the only one.

    Not very food motivated

You're right, you definitely don't want to "force" him to work. But if he doesn't get a meal, he should be hungry. I'd almost carry his food around in a treat bag and when he starts bugging you for it, have him do something simple like sit or a hand touch, then praise praise praise as you reward...

    2013 Garden Plans...

We aren't completely sure what will and won't get done, but ideally, my mum and I would put in a sprinkler system, finish the brick wall out front, replace the broken beam of the veggie gardens, and terrace the soil over by the veggie gardens. The biggest thing that we always fail at is keeping...

Ever feel like you want to pick up and move? Colorado...

I get the feeling that when I'm living on my own, I won't necessarily settle down in one place for the rest of my life. It feels so good to just uproot myself and soak up some different soil for a bit. But then I go back home and it almost hurts to think that the little sliver of the life you...

    What is your bad habit?

I eat when I'm stressed. I eat when I'm bored. I eat when I'm procrastinating. I eat when I'm feeling fidgety. I eat while I'm reading. I eat when I can't sleep. I eat while I watch TV. I eat while I do research. Basically, I eat whenever my hands or mind aren't fully occupied. Which is...

Inappropriate and child abuse, or innocent bath time?

I have not problem with them sharing a warm bath together, but the one awkward thing is that it looks like she's kind of sitting on his lap. If the picture were taken without him wearing swim trunks, that would be a tiny bit strange to me. Still not even close to child abuse, though. Just all...

    Dry feet

I think the acid in the mouth wash breaks apart the protein polymers in the skin, thus helping it kind of shed. But yeah, I'd assume the alcohol would dehydrate the skin, which is why I would assume the Listerine treatment would work best with some sort of night cream to hydrate it afterwards...

    Dry feet

Lush sells some pretty great stuff for dry, callused skin. They call it Lemony Flutter, and it works wonders.

How long are your dogs 'your's'?

^^Sums up how I feel. One little thing, though. I'd like to think that I'd be able to convince the new family to keep in contact with me. You know, send an occasional picture or update of Kailey. I'd be devastated losing her, and while I wouldn't want to devastate another family by yanking...

What do you listen to while you work out?

Kaskade. All the Kaskade. Sometimes Capital Cities sneaks in there, too.

    Men Shoot Dogs.. (Graphic story!)

Exactly. I honestly don't have a problem with the "you can't put a healthy animal down yourself without a reason" thing, either, except we all have hugely different ideas of what "no reason" means.

Would you Pick Your Dog All Over Again?

Schaffer wasn't my choice, but yes, I'd take him again. And then I'd do everything, all our training and socialization, differently. He's an amazing dog, and if he'd been trained differently, he'd be completely perfect. With Kailey, it's the same thing. Now if you offered me Kailey's clone...

5/52 Technical and Conceptual Photography Challenge

Ack, I have so many ideas but no camera! Oh well. It'll be loads of fun to see where other people take this.
