Does anyone have any ideas to help with dry feet?
My heels and the bottoms of my feet right under my heels are the big problem but also on the balls of my feet right under my big toes where I had calluses (sp).

I have one of those foot emory board things but its not cutting it anymore.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Lush sells some pretty great stuff for dry, callused skin. They call it Lemony Flutter, and it works wonders.

If your issue is callouses and built up dry/rough skin, you can soak wash clothes in diluted mouthwash (listerine is best but scope or something would work) and then wrap your feet in them (1 part listerine and 2 parts water). Leave it on for like 15 minutes (you can wrap them in plastic bags if you don't want to sit with them on in the bathroom). It might be kind of tingly which is good but if it burns, take it off.

I've heard people putting shaving cream on the feet afterwards and leaving it on for another 15 minutes, but putting on a really heavy cream (something non-alcohol based, like a body butter or natural lotion) works fine for me.

You can do this probably twice a week (I do it once a week when I need it) and then just exfoliate feet with a loofa or pumice in the shower.

I think the acid in the mouth wash breaks apart the protein polymers in the skin, thus helping it kind of shed.
But yeah, I'd assume the alcohol would dehydrate the skin, which is why I would assume the Listerine treatment would work best with some sort of night cream to hydrate it afterwards. (If you have cocoa butter, use it!)

I think the best remedy for dry skin is Bag Balm. It's really for cow teats, but works just as well for human skin.

yup, dry feet are sooo rough and hard to get smooth because of the buildup of dead skin/callouses. No matter how much lotion you put on them after they get like that...it might make it softer, but the buildup is still there.

The listerine basically peels off all the dead skin. I'm not sure how or why, though. It works really well.

I met a woman who was buying Bag Balm at my local Tractor Supply store. She and her mother use it for dry skin.
