I basically adopted my neighbors lab when i built my house and I was with her the day she passed and she was 16 going on 17..she had slowed down some but was just as active as when i first met her and she was 10..the main thing was she was overweight and I got her weight down if not I dont think...

ohhhh can I go on about roaming dogs...that's how i ended up with my brood with a stray digging under my fence...I live in a country area and there is tons of strays..and they are quicker to come tell you to have your dogs stop barking then to do anything about dogs roaming the streets turning...

my momma dog is mixed with blackmouth cur..which gives her the smaller size..maybe its a mix with cur and some other type...

my prayers are with them I honestly believe God sends us guardian angels thru animals

I just see Sadie when I look at her..but its probably best to see her personality first don't be like me and when my last and final litter was born ..I was like Lord help me and gave them all biblical names:p

I think some dogs are just skinny no matter what you do...my weimy/lab mix stayed skinny no matter what but was perfectly healthy

wow..I guess I am a babe in the woods to what some people will breed and sell...it never crossed my mind to try and sell my mixed pups..for one thing the mom I rescued when she was 5 weeks old from the side of the road and the dad well like Ive said he was a stray...how can you honestly take...

since my dogs are such a big mix..I think she looks like she may have some pit and cur like the others mentioned she is skinny but also looks like she has a slim build similiar to a weimie/lab mix I had once..but shes too cute :) ..and Im glad she found a good home the poor thing

It's similiar here also...you wouldnt believe some of the breeds advertised in the papers here and the prices...and unfortunately there are many strays running around..hence the reason for my dawgpound...and animal control doesnt care...I called numerous times for the male that was running...

Pics here are some pics as for spaying Angel...just know that just because your dog is in a privacy fence doesnt mean that a over eager male wont come in...as for the females we have now..they will all stay puppyless..and the over eager male is now gone..since he was a stray... Abel...
