I received the story in an email and hadn't seen it before and it touched me deeply. I loved the thought that the pup was so grateful that she wanted to show her appreciation.

Haven't tried giving Penny a pomello, am afraid that the acid may be too much for her tummy. I know that they are yummy to MY tummy. :)

Penny sleeps in her open crate and she has a hall that is doggie proofed...well except the mop is out there but Penny won't go near it. During the day and up to her bedtime, she is inside the house. She really hates being outside, too many scary noises. :)

Awww Sarge you know you love it. :) Penny's fur is everywhere too. I can clean it up half a dozen times and within a few hours, you can see hair again on the floor.

I too am so sorry for the loss of your sweet pup. At least she is no longer in pain, is playing and chasing butterflies by the Rainbow Bridge and waiting until that time in the future when you will join her and you two can cross the bridge together.

Since Penny is such a chicken and I think that to show a dog it has to be intact? I would never show Penny. Poor sweety would probably dig a hole and cover herself up, she would be so scared. I guess I will just try and find a decent groomer, who has time to spend with a scared dog.

I have already purchased a stripper, but am too chicken to use it because the instructions said that if it is improperly used it could damage the skin and I do NOT want to hurt my dog, I would feel terrible, so I wasted my money again.

I think that I am going to have to mix it as much as I would rather feed just dry. The just dry isn't working and Penny gets sick if her tummy is empty. :(
