I dont think he will jump high on the concrete floor..At least i don't have to worry he will refuse or be distracted. I took him into my brother's yard with all those squirrel scents just to see, and he still went after his bubbles with gusto. My sister in law was just cracking up. It is fun to watch. Inside just inst the same tho, i wish we could go outdoors but it would be harder to film. He doesn't like them to get away and will center himself under the highest ones and ignore the low. I think coming down on concrete hurts the nails and i wouldn't ever let him do it on a regular basis. I figure once wont hurt anything, but other then that we are always either on carpet or turf so it doesn't damage his joints.

Horrayy Victor did just fine! :D I was so rattled i had no idea how we did until i got back home and saw mom's tape. On the way there we had to go through a wall of water. I have driven in a lot of storms but this was something else. AT one point i had absolutly no idea where the side of the road was, where i was on the road, you couldn't even pull over!:( Then finally we arrive there and all the times are off because of the storm warnings so we had a bit of a wait. The shelter truck was outside with dogs that needed to be adopted. When i walked by with Victor he reacted quite strongly with a case of the shivers. We had this happen once before when we were at an adoptafest. I think he remembers the odors of the shelter and it triggers the flight and fright reaction. He did way better this time for last time i had to walk him around and around in circles far away from the shelter dogs before he untucked his tail and returned to his normal self. This time he only reacted for a few seconds. There were lots of people and dogs there and it was pretty close, so Victor's attention of course was on all the other dogs. He hates concrete floors so he would neither sit or down and was getting a bit antzy standing around. Then we were called in and suddenly i am thirsty, desperate for a sip of water, which i got right before we went up. From the moment we started I realized we had a problem, the rug had been wetted on in more then one spot and Vic was going to read that rug like a road map! i bailed on almost all of our tricks and went straight to bubbles..the last thing i was going to do was ask him to crawl. I did twist because we always do his favorite before we start bubbles. His collar was loose and it looks like i am high collaring him but if you watch you will see it slide way down his neck so nobody think i was choking him at anytime. He hit the backdrop once which scared him but he came back and showed his fun side with his jumps and wiggles, i was so happy to see he did a full circle on his hind legs. (we are learning a high twist and so i know now he can do it easily) and oh well he just did "his thing" just right! I didn't sound stupid which i thought i had so i am relieved. The only thing i didn't get to bring up was how grateful i am for the humane society clinic and how without the good vets there i wouldn't be able to have my dogs. Still i got my plug in for petfinder.com and that was what i wanted most to get across. I don't know if they will have a link or not. If they do i will post it.

Sounds like you both did great!!!!

Unfortunately, I was unable to view it.........I think it is only a local channel in your area. Can you post the video on the net so we can view it?

I am sure you would get "rave" reviews from us Chaz members!!!

i have no idea if i can access a link with the humane society or the tv channel. Mom taped it for me on vhs so i cant download. Maybe i can find out tomorrow if there is a link. I just feel like clapping my hands because he showed how truly happy he is and even if he couldn't jump high in such a small space it was i think a lot of fun to watch. Different from the other dogs routines, this was Victor's own pure pleasure he wasn't doing this just to please me and it shows. Hopefully other people will use bubbles if they end up with a higher energy dog then they bargained for. Bubbles helped us all keep our sanity those first few extreme months.

If all else fails, and you would still like to post it, I can upload analog VHS and turn it into a digital format and post it on the net. Although you would have to send me a copy of the VHS tape. And the quality does deteriorate somewhat.

Anyway I am so glad you both did great....I knew you would.:D

i just found out i could have recorded it on the site, there is a button at the bottom of the daily directory that says record and watch now. Shoot, now i figure that out! i could have had my daughter record it for me:( Thanks for the offer of the download Julie. If i cant find it i will pm you:) I am watching the video to the end now to see how much money was raised. Mom said they got quite a bit. I don't remember how much ART UNLEASHED raised last year, i should go back and look.
