    lifespan of a marrow bone

Hi all Just wondering how long to keep marrow bones before giving your dog a fresh one.. I put them in a baggy in the fridge at night when they are not being chewed . I was told by a Pet Valu person that they were bad for dogs and bred bacteria and I should be buying their sterilized...

    how long will it cry????

Hi Putting a clock beside the crate helps them I did this with my pup. The sound of the ticking soothes them. Also a warm water bottle wrapped in a towel makes them feel like they are with another littlemate or mum. Being inside the crate next to your bed he would probably be quiet with...

    pooing on the floor

HI Maybe if you keep him in a more confined area like a crate at night and let him out frequently through the night to do his business on his paper area or outside.. He would not be able to hold it all night as he is too young. Dogs do not like to mess in their bed area. Anyway hope this...

    Raw meat and gas

I am just continuing with the feeding method the breeder used. All she ever feeds her dogs is raw hamburgar. She put the pups she is selling on raw with Royal Canin but for the dogs she keeps (the mothers and some pups) she uses Urban Wolf with hamburgar. I guess she figures that most...

    Raw meat and gas

Thanks for all replys. ihartgonzo I do mix the raw and the kibble together. I can give it separately if that will help. I am not sure what RMB is but from what you say on here it has something to do with chicken. I am nervous to feed raw chicken bones. The breeder told me to cook chicken...

    Raw meat and gas

Just wondering if raw meat makes a dog gassy. My pap pup (14 wks) has been on raw hamburgar mixed with Royal Canin (adult) since before I got him from the breeder. This is what she recommended to continue him on. I have been told that Royal Canin is a very good dog food so was wondering...

    puppies, puppies, puppies!

I love the one in post #5 ,black with the white on their face. Dont know if it is a boy or a girl but is so adorable. Real sassy looking. Anyway all the best of luck to you. I would have a very hard time picking myself. At least you know it has to be a boy which narrows it down anyway:)

I may have made a mistake

Things will settle down once you get used to having someone new living with you. It is hard at first and it takes time. It is a big change in your lifestyle but it will work out. Lots of support on this site as well when you feel overwhelmed. All the best with your new pup.

    new puppy

It might be a good idea not to let your pup on the couch untill she has earned it by not growling at you. It would help show her place and make you the more dominant one if she had to stay on the floor. Good luck with her . She is beautifull. I had a Husky years ago and he was one of the...

Help with new puppy, toileting etc.

Hi . I am no expert but it seems to me that your pup has had to learn a lot in just a week and maybe is getting confused. She is going outside and inside on paper. Maybe just train her to outside . At ten weeks that is VERY young and maybe you should just concentrate on the potty training...

I am sorry it didnt work out but relieved for your daughter and Snickers. You are making the right decision. You were very kind to take him and tried so nobody can fault you for giving the pup back. Just feel better knowing you have very likely saved your daughter and Snickers from being...
