Anyone try this workout before? I'm starting this week with a class. It looks like so much fun. It incorporated different dance moves for a festive 1 hour work out.

Can't wait!

This isn't my instructor, it's just an example I found for some who's never heard of it.

Ive been to a couple of Zumba classes lol not my cup of tea. I am horribly uncoordinated and id rather just do spinning or straight cardio like running

but, it is a great workout and lots of fun! the classes are usually very upbeat and a lot of girls dont realize how tired they are until they stop dancing lol

One of the nurses I work with teaches a zumba class at her local y and has been traveling to clinics on it. Personally I don't get it,but I also trip over my own feet frequently.

I'm not very coordinated either, so it will be interesting. But I also love being silly..lol

I already do a good workout regiment of runny 3 miles a day then calisthenic work out 5 times a week in the early morning. I was looking for something fun too do to brake the mundane day to day workout I'm currently doing. Hopefully I wont trip over the person next to me. lol

My mom did a Zumba class at the college she teaches at - she felt dumb and uncoordinated and didn't like it as much as she wanted to. She brought home some DVDs from the library and I tried them with her, and I didn't really like it. It wasn't really fun, and I didn't exactly find the advanced level to be intense enough either really. I guess I'm like Fransheska, I'd rather just do straight cardio, LOL... or even just straight dance/choreography. I've been to classes where you learn a full choreography and those are fun AND a great way to work up a serious sweat. I would rather do pilates than zumba and I hate pilates, LOL.

Giny where are you going?
A new place that opened called Havoc MMA. It in the midtown mall near Aroma Joes. It's a cool place, they teach other types of classes and from what I understand you don't pay monthly memberships, you get a punch card for certain amounts of classes, so you go when you can.

Want to come with me? Can't promise I wont embarrass you though. :rofl1:
