So I came home yesterday to..."honey I think the dog s*it down stairs but I don't see anything." So I go downstairs and look in her crate and sure enough she had pooed in the corner. Not just any poo... she's got the runs! BLAH!!!

She seemed fine the rest of the night. We went to bed and then this morning they tried waking me up, begining to be a new ritual with the girls, so I just told them to go lay down. Next thing I know hubby gets out of bed and again says, "I'm not sure if this is poop or throw up but someone did something in here (the baby's room). So I get up to investigate to find several piles of runny poo all over the bedroom! UGH! What a way to wake up. Didn't smell at first until I "disturbed" the piles. Not a pleasant smell for a prego woman who's about to pop.

I'm going to start her on a nice bland diet with a little echinacea supplement and hopefully it will help her clear it up on it's own. Other than the fact she's got the runs she seems her normal self. She tends to be a poop eater so I think this is why we have our current results. She's a gross one too... prefers it as fresh as possible. BLAH! The only way to stop her is if I watch her as she's out in the yard which I'll do but sometimes I don't. It's the hubby that just lets her out there with the other two for lengthy periods of time. I'll just blame him for it... it's easier. ha ha ha!

It's amazing how the men can smell , but can't find !
It's amazing, isn't it? I can't tell you how many times I've been woken up by DH saying "Oh maaaan, someone took a s**t. Someone took a s**t." Repeasted several times as if I didn't hear it the first time. Okay, I know the dogs are mine but I'm not deaf......much. ~L~

During almost 50 years of marriage , I don't think Tom ever handled a poop ,pee or throw up . Amazing ! Maybe that's why I outlived him !

I heard that to stop a dog from eating it's own poo that you can put some fresh pineapple in their diet. not much, but just some.
It's supposed to make their poop taste SOOOOO nastey to them.

You might want to check with your vet first though.
I think I saw it on " it's me or the dog" with Victoria Stillwell i think

LOL! The total lack of trying and the fact that if they find it they're not going to clean it up anyway. When Tweeder was a pup for some reason or another he ended up with explosive diarrhea in his crate. It was all over the crate, the walls, the carpet and smelled something fierce! Hubby sat outside until I got home to clean it up cause it was "my dog". UGH! Men!
