Sara came up with this term and I absolutely love it.

Basically, what is the trick/behavior that you've wanted forever but either have been unable to train it or haven't gotten around to it or don't know how to do it?

A perfect recall. :sigh:

Seriously though, I cannot train a retrieve to hand. He'll retrieve toys for fun, and I'm to the point where he will pick up something, but I just can't get him to hold it for longer than a couple seconds because he thinks the behavior is spitting it out for treats (can't get him to spit it out in my hand either). I think the need to take the Fenzi retrieve class at Gold and conquer this once and for all.

A rebound. I am plagued with dogs that can't jump the height of their own withers. Gravity weighs particularly heavily on Brisbane and Uly has jumped up onto something exactly once ever. I've started the process with Ru but he is also not naturally springy and jumping onto my lap is a monumental effort.

Nextdog must be springy. Very, very springy.

Teaching Roxie how to flip a light switch. Also, how to close doors (she will nudge them open with her nose, but it would be awesome to get her to close them, too!!).

I've tried many different things, but Roxie just doesn't really grasp the idea of moving a switch up and down, nor how to close the door. But I keep on trying when I get a new idea, lol. One day she will get it... I hope.

Teaching Leo to jump into my arms. He hates being carried, so its probably never going to happen.

Though, considering how frequently he rebounds off of me when I haven't even asked for it, its probably a good thing that he doesn't fling himself any higher :rofl1:

To shut up. Seriously, Ma'ii does not know how to NOT bark. teaching him an off command has been impossible.

A competition heel. I CANNOT DO.
This! Oh my god this. I want Simi to have that perfect heel. And I want it via perch work, but I can't ever seem to make it click and actually turn into something. I just wanna be able to say "Heel" and her swing her butt around, head up and prance! *dreamy sigh*

For Psyche there's nothing really... just about anything I have ever tried to teach that dog, she can and will learn. If I had to choose something though, likely the thing where they jump on your back! What's that called?

In our house, its called a "Gimmick no! Wait until Mommy calls you". Bonus points if I'm at work bent over a pooper scooper when he vaults. Exa bonus points if he just perches and won't get down as I carry him around like a praying mantis shaped tumor

OK I lied. This is my unicorn, I've taught several dogs at work to to this and I think it is the most adorable, awesome thing ever. Not one of my three can jump even to waist-level.

A friend's stumpy just delivered a litter of 9 stumpy/heeler/labs. I do not hate myself enough to get another heeler puppy. I do not hate myself enough to get another heeler puppy. I do not hate myself enough to get another heeler puppy.

I want to say handstand, 'cause I've been working on it forever, haven't really known what I was doing, didn't know how to progress, etc. Now... I have a handstand, but I want MORE handstand. DIFFERENT handstand. I think I'll always be chasing a handstand in some way, shape or form. I'll always be chasing this unicorn.

Some people find my focus on the trick distasteful. Oh well!

My other unicorn is shy. I simply cannot get it. I don't know why.

This has to be the dumbest unicorn ever, but I cannot for the life of me extinguish licking from Lily's hand target. At one point almost had it and then my trainer did like ten reps with her licking... gah!

This is embarrassing.

ROLLOVER.

Seriously. I gave up on my shih tzu ages ago, and I made a couple half hearted attempts to shape it with my Bouv but then gave up.
