I would like to switch what my puppy currently eats (IAMS PUPPY) to a very, very, good brand. Which brand should I get? Price is not a concern....

Is there a brand I can get at Petsmart/Petco?

THanks.

P.S. She is a 13 week old Pek/Poodle

Im no food expert but Innova is supposed to be supreme compared to the other dog foods. Not sold in petsmart/petco I believe. Wait till Mordy sees this thread, Im sure shell give you great advice.

unfortunately the best brands available are not sold at the big chain stores.

as nedim suggested, innova is an excellent brand, but there are many others as well, such as eagle pack, canidae, or solid gold, just to mention a few.

when evaluating quality, there are a few things you need to be aware of, i hope this article will help:

You can get decent food at pesmart and petco (not all of them though, and respectively blue buffalo and natural balance), but they are seriously overpriced compared to better food you could find somewhere else. Look around for smaller independent pet food stores, you will find good brands like Innova, Solid Gold or Cannidae. Don't get scared at the price of the bag though, a bag of those will last you twice longer than a bag of IAMs (make sure to check the feeding guidelines), so in reality it doesn't really cost much more to feed a good food than a bad food.
