So I'm interested. What is everyone's

Current Job: your job or career
Pay: how much do you get paid annually/hourly
Perks:what do you like about your job
Hate:what do you hate about your job

and if you want, a little description. I want to hear about all the different jobs out there.
I'm thinking about being a pharmacist but I hear it's getting more challenging every year.

Retired on a sucking paying SS per month . After paying for health care ... meds ... mortgage --- utilities .....and normal food in take for Ollie and me there's nothing left . Not that I care , but how long am I going to live !!! I refused not to indulge in fun !!! I don't care about clothes etc . I really doubt if you'll get much response here !!!! I sure wouldn't give my salary , etc !!! Too dangerous !!!! Big brother is watching !!!!

what's wrong with giving salary? I never knew it can cause paranoia. You can leave out whatever you feel necessary. I was mostly trying to open myself to different jobs.

meh, no problem in asking. Just don't say if you don't wanna.
I understand why people may not answer but I don't think its rude to ask it to a group of people that can simply ignore it. I wouldn't like to be asked by soemone i didn't know straight to my face where i was expected to answer but here it doesn't worry me because i can just ignore what i want

Why is it so rude to ask?

What is there to be ashamed of?

I never did understand why people cared so much about sharing how much money they do or do not earn.........

I am a student, and a poor one at that!! I don't receive any loans, and my bursary I receive goes towards my fees.

Not to mention I already owe £13000 odd from my last degree ;)

Money schmoney. You can't take it with you. Work to live, don't live to work!!

But I am doing social work. The starting salary is about £20000, which is a GOOD starting wage. Here anyway.

And for the record - my summer job is paying me £7.50 an hour - again, not a bad wage for a summer job.... But I still don't save it up. I have more interesting things to spend it on!!

I work in a loans company on the helpdesk. My karma points are currently VERY low because it is a huge corporate ***** bag loans company that preys on "high risk" customers. But - to be fair, I wouldn't be as daft to take a loan with them... So I do wonder why other people do.

Because it is personal information that is considered private and isn't the business of anybody else... especially that of somebody you don't know.

fair do's... but noone gets all uptight when a "how old are you" or a "periods and woman dribbly stuff" thread comes up - which is pretty personal ;)

They just ignore it :)

Pretty much everything is personal, depending on how open you are (or aren't).

Actually some people do get upset. You just might not have seen it. And I don't care if people know how much I make. I just think it's information I should volunteer because it's relevant or on-topic not be asked for.

Hee Hee. That's funny....I agree - if you don't want to answer, then don't.
