I'm looking at purchasing Bandit some new toys. Spank will play with them if Bandit does but Bandit is the real toy freak around this house. He LOVES all types of toys too. Won't find him without a toy in his mouth. But Spank is a toy killer. So I'm looking for something that may be able to withstand Spank's insanity as Bandit does get a bit sad when his favorite toy becomes Spank's lunch.

So what toys do your toy obsessed dogs like?

Planet dog stuff is pretty great. They're well made and tend to stand up well to chewing by multiple dogs. If you're looking for balls the Orbees are awesome and I love the Orbo kong because it's soooo bouncy. Izzy loves her Wubba but I think a toy killer dog would probably take the cloth off of one.

She's always got a Planet Dog toy of some sort out and about, they're her favourites. The eggplant and the christmas light bulb seem to be picked up more often than the others.

Other than that she LOVES playing tug with Flossy "monkey fists" (BIG knot in the middle, with rope coming out both ends). Like this:

I have something like that ^ which has held up to the jaws of Wilson. My guys also liked the nobbly wobbly ball--but Wilson destroyed that after a month. I have to get really sturdy toys--or they are just history as soon as I bring them home!

Shye LOVES his Kong for a throwing toy. He says balls are just not as much fun. He prefers to rip up anything and everything stuffed and fuzzy. He also likes the Hurleys. I have four of them but Shye hogs them all. River loves ropes but rips them up too fast for me to feel safe with him having them.

Otherwise, if you find something cool, let us all know!

Sawyers all time favorite toy is his Kong Ball he got for Christmas from Smkie ;). Its the only toy he hasent been able to destroy. Maggie has a stuffed bunny that she loves. Though she has to guard it with her life cause Sawyer looks at it with murder in his eyes.

Thunder is the most toy obsessed dog. He loves anything that squeaks, anything fuzzy or soft, tennis balls, and plastic pop bottles. He's generally pretty rough on anything he gets though, so he gets the plastic bottles more than anything else, LOL.

Oh, and add Kong tennis balls to Sierra's list, she goes bezerk for those things, but they're not durable. Squeaker gets killed in about 10 minutes, and the ball is usually gone in a few days.

Spring likes anything! If there's one thing that overrides her obsession over food, it's toys. And the louder they squeak, the more excited she gets!

Dance likes balls and squeaky toys. She thinks frisbee is a pretty interesting game too, but still hasn't grasped the concept of catching it properly yet.

Keira likes squeaky toys, but destroys them, so she gets them very sparingly. She loves squishing her Kong, and did like the Orbee we had around here, but I'm not sure where it went to. It's lost.

Everlasting treat ball. Buster really isn't that into toys, he will play occasionally but then just wants to sit down and shred them.

He can't shred the treay ball, he loves to sit there and work away on it but can't make a mark. All the dogs are obsessed with it, even with no treats in it.

His other favourite is one we keep in bed lol. Its a stuffed toy bone but the outside material is pretty tough, a squeaker in one end and a spikey plastic ring around the middle, it covers all bases. He plays with it most nights before bed and it still hasn't got a mark on it.

I'm amazed your dog can't do damage to that treat ball--Baxter worked the treat right out of it, and started munching away on the treat!

Oddly my dogs and now Ollie only liked the stuffed or unstuffed animals . Ollie never carries one ..... always at least 3 or 4 . He's taken up a couch pillow to put his head on and a pair of my slippers . He never tears anything up unless it's a tug of war with Hunter or Maggie May . A bunny got gutted today !
