Jackson's probably really good to most peoples standards, or even 'too skinny' to a lot of folk.

To me he's near perfect. After this long winter, I notice he's looking not quite as muscular and I think he could stand to lose a bit and gain a bit more muscle. But overall I'm not worried about it.

This is at his best IMO, this was last summer.

But sometimes when his hair grows out even just a little bit, or the angle of photos, he can look heavier than he actually is.

Murphy needs to lose a couple pounds but I don't want him to lose any more than that.

Mu is perfect. She's by far my easiest dog to maintain.

Tipper needs to lose a couple pounds. I swear if you blink at this dog she either drops weight or packs it on.

ETA: I selected by my definitions no and other yes because I get a lot of comments on how great my dogs look. Murphy's floof is hiding his fat though. :p And there are a lot of barrel corgis around here so the girls always look skinny.

Chloe could lose maybe a 1/2lb. She can look a little chunky in pics but she does have a defined waist. She's also really muscular. But she likes to eat and I have to limit her. Depending on how many treats she suckers my family members into feeding her, she fluctuates some.

Violet is in pretty good shape but could probably use a little definition. She is thin right now but she fluctuates also. We have a hard time feeding her-she needs to eat raw due to her allergies but half the time she doesn't like it and won't eat it. I'm trying to figure that one out currently. I'm considering trying out different kibbles to see if there is something that works.

I voted for all of them LOL.

Pen - Yes for me, yes for others
Jari - No for me, no for others (TOO thin - trying to put more weight on him - he's got decent muscle tone, though)
Kimma - Yes for me, no for others (others would think she's too thin)
Bubbles - No for me, yes for others (she's a little chunky - we're working on it)

Alright.

Fiona is pretty decent. If she gets a little bit too much food on a particular day, I can tell, she plumps. If she's gone all day without eating, she looks slightly pinched. She has nice muscling, I think.

Zoie I have slimmed down...she is not truly fit, but she is at a weight I am comfortable with. She has a waist and a tuck. She will gain if I don't keep an eye on it.

Romeo is/was overweight and seems to gain on air. He is sloooowly slimming, sometimes gaining a little back I think. I also feel bad because he is my biggest foodie and I feel like I feed him nothing.

Skye was actually looking a pound or two over last summer, now she looks a pound or two under. I can see her spine a lot and I don't like that, but whatever.

My two look good.

My vet is always thrilled with how good my dogs weight it.

Menchi is like one big 38 lbs muscle :D Watson is more of a slender and willowy type.

Not sure what other people think of them...

My dogs are all at a pretty ideal weight I believe, but all of them could be in better shape. We have been hibernating a lot through this ridiculously long winter and they could all use a bit more muscle/conditioning for my liking, but they do all still look pretty good and their weights are good.

Some pet people think my dogs are a bit too thin, but others comment on how nicely in shape they are.

Yes I'd say so, more or less.

It's an uphill battle sometimes with Bodhi as my boyfriends father constantly feeds her biscuits as he luuurves her. And she's not as young as she was so gains weight now :( she never ever did before. I'd like her to lose a little to be honest, but by average population standards she's in excellent shape. I'd just like her more lean. She still has a waist, she's no way fat. Just my ideal!

Fred yes. I think if he lost weight he'd be skinny. He does gain weight more easily than Bodhi ever did, so have to watch his food.

Both dogs are well muscled. They do a lot of vigorous activity daily.

Roxie is finally starting to look really good again. She had lost a bit of weight from all the stress of moving and whatnot, but she's doing a lot better. You can still see her hip bones, spine, and ribs, but she's got a lot of muscle mass- her legs are extremely well muscled, her waist is thick with muscle, and there's meat in between her hips and along her ribs.

She's probably still too skinny to the average joe, but she's just got that structure where her spine sticks out and she's always going to at least have the last two ribs showing. That's just the way she's built. I do want to get some meat covering her hip bones, and we are making progress on that so it's all good. Once we get there, I will say that she's where she needs to be again. And usually, people compliment me on her when she's at that condition.

Yes, I think he's in good condition and the vet and most dog people agree with me. I can't take that much credit because he stays that way no matter what I feed or how much exercise he gets. I think only one person has called him too skinny - usually the average Joe types compliment him for not beng fat. I think all the fur keeps him from looking too skinny.

Luce is at a weight I'm very comfortable with for 11 1/2 with bad knees. She is really losing muscle mass in her rear though :(

Steve is slightly on the thin side, even for me. He is so freaking hard to keep weight on.

Bean is perfect (ie, too skinny by the public's standards)

Ham is I think just slightly too heavy. He's got a waist, he's got ribs, but I'd like the last two to be slightly visible and right now they're not.

Pug is a bit thin but not overly so by my standards.

The general public thinks she's emaciated though because well, she's a pug and she's not obese.

Right now my two are at a weight I'm happy with, though I struggle keeping it that way. Charlotte is naturely a very lean dog, and get skinny very easily if I'm not on top of her, where as Ma'ii is the opposite, and get's fat real easy.
It's an interesting battle.

By the general public's definition Tucker is at a perfect weight. I think he could stand to lose a little. He's not fat enough for me to be concerned about it or think it is impacting his health though. I just can't feel his ribs quite as well as I'd like too. Plus he doesn't really get exercise so he's just not in good shape in general.

When you own greyhounds there are lots of people out there that are going to tell you your dogs are underweight. Though, my friend's lab is at a great weight and they get told all the time that he's too thin. It's all those fat Westminster dogs gosh dangit, screwing with people's minds.

I like to see the last 3 ribs and the hip points, and just a touch of spine. Of course my dogs are very short coated.

Rowan is chubby but your average person would probably think he's at a good weight. He's got an hourglass shape when viewed from above, but he has too much padding over his ribs for my liking.

Riff is ideal, IMO, and because he naturally doesn't have a very well defined tuck, he doesn't look "too thin" to your average person.

By my definition? Yeah pretty much.

Cobain is great because he's fluffy. Sure he's a little thinner than what the general public would consider to be "good" but with his thick coat it's difficult to make that assumption unless he's swimming.

Rigby is thin, and ideally she'd be up to 30lbs - which I'm sure she will reach over the summer out here.
Her ribs are visible when she's standing, and her spine is pronounced. But 28lbs up from 19lbs which is what I tell people who harass me for it. Though, I don't tell them I've had her for nearly 3 years.

Ruby is thin looking as well. She's happy, she runs a lot, and gets fed as much as Cobain (she's closer to 22lbs and he's around 40lbs), with no health issues that the vet could find. She looks much thinner than when we first got her, but has gained weight - all muscle. She's a leggy little tank.

Oz is alright now, but prone to going out and gorging himself and becoming a balloon. I have a hard time keeping in mind that he's not the same structure as my other 3, and often think he's overweight when he in fact is not.

Aside from Cobain (unless they touch him), I get told ALL of them are underweight by passerbys. Typically those telling me this are the ones with the morbidly obese beagles or labs.
